zippo wick?

Has anyone tried using that yet? If so did it work? If not i will be trying it right after posting this.

Used some once so many months ago. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's fiberglass, it didn't like to bend for cornering. I like the silica fiber, because I can bend it to where I want it to wick.
Other than that, it did wick. Hope it works for you.

you can pull the zippo wick apart and its easy to use. I didnt try it, ( I have 2) because I was told that it will have a funny taste.

The wick I that I used had a chemical or petroleum taste.
I decided to put it back into my Zippo.

Well I bought 2 of them and I had no luck the other day. Not so much with the wick as much as it was the usual soldering issues. I have a hard time keeping my hands steady. Eventually I will get it though. Thanks guys, I will keep experimenting with it though.
