Zmax help needed

Hi, I just bought a ZMAX VV/VW (Version 2 I believe). I have been using it in the volts mode at 4.0 volts. I used it on the watt mode at 6 watts and it seemed to burn. Is this normal settings? I use a Kanger Pro tank II with 2.5 ohm coils. I keep spending money and was hoping this set-up would work for me. I just want to make sure I am at the right settings to get the most flavor and vap.

Also, when I go to the screen where it is supposed to show the Ohm (Step 5), if I try to set it on ohms, it does not show me what ohms it is working at. Is this normal?

Also, it shows that there are 8 different settings but the user manual only shows 7. What is the 8th?

I usually use my Zmax with the same tank at about 4.0V-4.2V depending on what i am vaping maybe 4.5V you have to make sure if your going for Volts you set it to that instead of Watts at first i thought i was using volts to find out it was set on watts and that's why i was not getting a good vape. For the ohm you have to push the button until you get to option 5 and switch it to "dR" wait a few sec then just push the button to show the ohm and "dO" to show the Volts/Watts i had a problem with it not showing because of the coil being old and one time because i used a 510-ego adapter try cleaning the threads and see if that helps you see the ohm if its not working also had a problem when using the airflow controller it wouldn't tell me the ohm for the 8th option i just never paid attention to it maybe its a default setting no idea.

Thanks for the info. I put in a new coil and cleaned it all out and it still does not give me a read out. Oh well. The 4.0 volts works well so I guess I will leave it there. I may try to up it to 4.2 but will see. Thanks for the help.

Here's the manual -

1.Uu --- Voltage up
2.Ud --- Voltage down
3.So --- Standby on/off
4.Uc --- Voltage check of battery
5.Ds --- Display change
Do --- Display cartomizer/atomizer output voltage
Du --- Display battery output voltage
DR---Display cartomizer/atomizer resistance
6.Lo --- Led light on/off
7.Up --- Voltage power
Po --- Constant power operation
Uo --- Constant voltage operation

On V2 models the 8 setting is described by SMOK like this

8. Change voltage calculation method, RMS or MEAn calculation
RMS - More accurate (preferred), looks like ANS on screen
MEA - Older method used by V/Zmax (hotter), looks like NEA on screen
