Zmax Modified 510 connector post

I wanted the center post in the 510 connector set higher.

I took a thin blade and wiggled the head of the Zmax and it came off. It is a press fit so it took a bit of wiggling while being careful not to scratch it. After the cap was off I used a small screw driver to push the center post out the top while being careful to keep from damaging the solder joint. At this point I put a nitrile o-ring (a very small one) over the top lip of the center post.
I put the center post back in and now I'm very happy with the post height.

It seemed to be a bit higher than I liked but I've found I can tighten my heads a bit more than I used to and things are really much more snug.

Not sure if anyone else would be interested in the mod but I can get the size of the o-ring I used and maybe take some pictures if there is interest.

Absolutely! Lets see them pics and the size of the o-ring. Man, I've been thinking about doing the same on my zmax, tired of pulling the central post out with a needle every time I want to use something other than vivi nova with its protruding positive contact. Thank you, btw.
