Clarify some confusion on connecting a Protank to an Ego battery?

Silly question perhaps. My new Protanks include what look like eGo adapters. They thread onto the eGo batteries fine, but I see no way to thread the Protank to the adapter. Do I need another part? If so, which one? End result: I'm looking to connect the Protanks to eGo batteries.

The eGo piece is just a beauty ring. It adds a little stability but other than that there is no other function other than to give a sleeker look to the device when the protank is connected.

The protanks are 510 threading, so if you have the inner 510 battery connection it will fit on there. If you are talking adapter as in the bevelled collar that comes with it, that is a beauty collar only. Only things it does is make the asthetic transition from the battery to the bottom of the protank, second benefit is it helps support the protank on such a thin connection. hth explain some.

What Pezzer75 said. The beauty ring isn't supposed to connect to the ProTank itself. Not a silly question, either
