First box mod, battery question.

After havig at 5 EGOs, and 6 mech mods, I ordered my first box mod. It is an IPV3 li, and I am excited but also have a question. With dual batteries does this mean I can build and perform with "double" the AMP drainage in mind? Like with mechs I never had builds that strained more than ~20 AMPS, but now with 2 batteries in the equation, does this mean I can safely push the device to ~40 AMPS of battery draw? I have a purple efest 18650, a pair of LG HE2s and just ordered a pair of Samsung 25Rs.

It's a regulated mod. You can put any atty on it the machine will fire-- I think it limits out at .1, but don't quote me, an that's probably Ni wire-- and it's supposed to take care of not blowing itself up.

I've read somewhere that in a dual battery mech mod, a safe limit would be about 150% the amperage of a single battery.

Regulated mods are usually set up in series, not parallel. You double the voltage, not the amps. But the chip regulates what the mod will put out. Check the stats on your mod. It will say max wattage and voltage, as well as minimum resistance.
