I'm going to start DIY as soon as my order comes in. What percentage of Flavor Art do I use, 5%, 10%?

I thought I read 5 drops per ml somewhere, but can't find it

I do have a calculator downloaded, but I'm still a little, (or should I say a lot) confused concerning flavorings.

When I get my current juice, I usually ask the vendors for extra flavoring. Most seem a little weak to me. I guess my taste buds are still shot from 40 years of smoking.

I'm still working on this myself, but I can tell you every flavor has it's own sweet spot.

My first thing I do with a new flavor is find where I like it best. So search around forums, see what people feel is theie sweet spot.

For me, lets say I find people tend to like things around 5%, I'll mix up a few small samples, like at 3%, 5%, and 7% and compare them, then fine tune them to see what I like best.

Hey Flint,

I wouldn't start of with even 5% as a general guideline for FA flavors. Especially their tobaccos are very strong, some of them i cannot stand over 3%.
With their tobaccos i always start at 1% or on whatever percentage they specify on their site. For the other flavors i start at 3%. Work up from there.
If i don't taste anything i double the percentage (2% --> 4%). If i do taste it but it is too weak i add 1/2 of the previous strength (2% --> 3%). The moment i overshoot i work back until i find its sweet spot, somewhere between the last used two ratios. (hope this makes sense to you)

Though in general their flavors are strong, some of their flavors like their Walnut i currently use at 12% (still testing so it can go even higher than that).

Thank you, that is excellent advice. I will start with 2%, and work up if necessary. And yes, it makes perfect sense.
