friend just called me telling "e cig is the same thing as a vape" nicotine gives you cancer...and i told him the opposite and he told me to go look it up on the internet because vapes are the same thing as regular cigarettes...
now he doesn't want to vape instead of smoking because he thinks its dangerous.
where do they find stupid info like this on the internet?

From the ANTZ. Your friend should keep an open mind and do some research. Nic doesn't cause cancer, yes I know some studies say it can contribute to angiogenesis and neovascularization and that might promote the growth of cancers but, it is not going to cause the cancer in the first place.

So, to your friend; vaping a nicotine containing liquid is probably not wise if you already have cancer, but it is a better choice than smoking since, if you don't have cancer when you switch to vaping, it will not give you cancer.

As for PG, well that's a whole other can of worms with it's own collection of misleading information and outright lies about it, but it's in foods, cosmetics and even asthma inhalers so, pretty safe.

When I was in the army I was a tank commander... We would need to change the hydraulic fluid on the main gun every so often. I had a guy on my tank doing the change one afternoon when he spilled some hydraulic fluid on his hands . He looked up at me, with cigarette hangin out of his mouth, and says "I'm not doing this job again...the can of hydraulic fluid says it causes cancer...and I just got it on my hands." Irony was not without a sense of humor that day. .
