As was mentioned earlier in this thread that radio station should be shamed for not having invited it's own, Dr. Michael Siegel for some perspective on this issue.

Dr. Siegel is a Professor in the Department of Community Health Sciences, Boston University School of Public Health. He has 25 years of experience in the field of tobacco control. He previously spent two years working at the Office on Smoking and Health at CDC, where he conducted research on secondhand smoke and cigarette advertising. He has published nearly 70 papers related to tobacco. He testified in the landmark Engle lawsuit against the tobacco companies, which resulted in an unprecedented $145 billion verdict against the industry. He teaches social and behavioral sciences, mass communication and public health, and public health advocacy in the Masters of Public Health program.

Speaking only for myself because I sure as heck
wouldn't want to be Politically Incorrect and offend anyone

The Media ...
are ALL Lying Agenda Driven Reality TV type Drama Propaganda Machines.
That includes Every single one of the 24/7 TV so-called News Channels.

One more generation ... there won't be anyone living who remembers
true investigative journalism ... and the overwhelming vast majority
couldn't care less.

Carry on ...

Our only disagreement is over whether the bias is pro-liberal. It's not, it's just anti-truth. The REPORTERS tend to be center-liberal-biased, their bosses, the opposite. Try getting an anti-B-Anything (other than T) article printed. (Even reporters who intend to be liberal end up ignoring most liberal truth due to...surprise...lack of investigative thinking or acting.)

As a scientist's daughter and an engineer, I think the junior-high-school belief that popularity trumps truth is inherently deadly when practiced by adults.

There is something called "The Center for Investigative Reporting CIR | Revealing injustice for 35 years | The Center for Investigative Reporting which is non-profit, but they tend to run BT exposes, which does make me worry about 'PC' bias. (PC == Popular Cr*p, it's only liberal when liberals are popular)

Did anyone catch the name of the doctor who was interviewed criticizing e-cigarettes?

Also, if anyone can find a weblinked clip of the show, please post.

I suspect the producers at this radio station heard (or heard about) Mike Siegel's recent interview on WGBH radio (another Boston radio station), and decided to do their own show with a contrary viewpoint.

WGBH interviews Mike Siegel on e-cigarettes (segment begins 44 minutes into show)

That ain't a rant, just a factual tragic statement. All they do is read PR releases verbatim.

That might be a better queston for Mike. He may be aware of the show. I know I heard the name of the obe doctor that wasn't really too bad. However the Far East doc was BP's mouthpiece and the one that spoke about the NC study and I never caught his name.
