Madvapes 5v box mod kit problems

Hey guys i picked up a 5v box mod kit from MV and built it. Meticulously following the instructions on the site. Stuck two ultrafire 14500s in her and Absolutely nothing. The voltage regulator is heating up but no power is goin to the atty connector. any ideas what's going on? Would be much appreciated

Did you check the post with a multimeter? Sounds like its shorting out to me.

I don't have a multimeter. i can borrow one. but is there some sort of remedy for this?

re check where all the wires are suppose to go , make sure you got it wired correctly, it sounds like you dont

if so then , maybe not good enough contact to atty connector

also , is the atty connector a new one? because if you are using an old one from a used bat then the rubber seal can be broken , causing pos post to contact neg connector

I made sure every wire was where its meant to go when i built it. its a new connector but i had trouble soldering the positive post in so after reading a thread on here i pulled the post out and soldered it then put it back in. Could that be my problem then?

Could be the some solder got on something a caused a short. Get the multimeter and check. Betting its a short somewhere

I shall do. ill post an update in a couple days. thanks for your help. also I've gotten really curious about nodding now and would like to build a box similar to the janty stick in the way i can charge it up by plugging the usb into the box and incorporate a passthru. i would also like it to run at 3.7 volts and hold two 18650s you got any pointers for me please?

I've been lookin at the ego button and electronics but does that have the charging function

Hit the modders section, they have done so much there. You can find anything you can dream of there and people that can help. I do some modding but I'm no expert like some so I can't help ya without messing you up lol
