Media Scare Tactics and what they SHOULD be telling...

This is brought on by a text message my fiance had recieved earlier today. I have been vaping for.. well.. Check my sig below- i forget. Anyway, And her aunt seemed a little sketched out about it. Then earlier today she sent us a text that read something like: "Hey kaitlyn, i hate to be the bearer of bad news but... i was watching the news and apparently ecigs could be worse for you then real cigs, they said they dont know very much about them either..."-

We all know that popular media outlets are working with the FDA and other companies in an effort to put an end to the use of e-cigs world wide. They go around showing how many chemicals are in ecigs and the dangers of those chemicals. Another tactic they use is telling the public that ecigs are a scary unkown world that no one knows much about.

I'm here to prove this wrong- A simple google search will tell anyone that ecigs are BY FAR 1,000,000x safer then an actual analog cigarette.

all I know is that 4 months ago I was really having a hard time breathing. Tonight I am going out for a run. Am I just fooling myself? I can't believe how easy it's been for me not to smoke nasty butts. Maybe I'm making it all up, but I think I haven't smoked a single cigarette in months. It's time to ban vaping! It should be harder to stop giving my money to Altria and GlaxoSmithKline!

Well, I started vaping 2 1/2 years ago, when they just started popping up in gas stations. I wondered what was in them to keep the liquid from burning out completely. But I went for it anyways for the stealth factor. I was actually pleasantly surprised to find out what is really in eliquid. Now if it actually contained antifreeze, I still think THAT would be healthier than cigarettes LMAO!

I am guessing that you didn't realize the author of the second link was none other than Stanton Glantz, the primary anti-ecig "scientist" in the US. I would not quote anything he says about ecigs as truth.

My issue with those substances listed by Glantz as being in ecigs is that they were only found in one no-name brand cig-a-like and is not indicative of what will be found in most ecigs. You quoting that is contributing to the spread of misinformation.

I think you guys are missing the point. Two google searches. Ecigs, Cigs.. One list is huge(Cigs) One list is tiny(Ecigs).. Obviously the healthier choice would be ecigs.
