Nemesis clone and kick from Fasttech?

I really don't understand kicks, especially with the new high power regulated devices, some aren't even expensive. Mechs are built to bypass regulation and have the ability to vape at low ohms with lots of power. Why limit yourself to 12 or 15 watts with a mechanical mod. Kicks made sense until new high powered, regulated devices that aren't incredibly expensive came about. Now I feel they are useless. Learn more about a mechanical mod. Everyone says they are unregulated, which they are I guess, but I always built my coils to tailor my vape on them to what I wanted. Essentially the wattage and regulation was up to me. Kicks take this away which I feel is the best part about mechanicals. If you want to vape from 12-15 watts get a regulated device

I have an eVic which is regulated, and also just ordered an iTaste 134 (I have just always liked the look of that one!) so I do have regulated mods. I just want to get a mech and start slow, so I think a kick is a safeguard for me as I learn.
