I usually stick to the old trusted formula of take the ohms+2= volts

So with my Nautilus 1.8 ohm coils, I start at 3.8volts.
1.8ohm+2=3.8volts.

With a 1.5 I would start at 3.5 and then adjust up or down to taste.
Your mileage may vary.

Some coils (the Nautilus BVC coils for example) list recommended voltages not just wattage. Although, my vape is fairly close to the formula-- 1.6 coil vaping at 3.3 V. You could check your coils to see if they have any recommendations.

Anna
they do.
just wanted to see what others are using.

With mine I do the old Volts Squared / Resistance = Watts so reverse it to the [Square Root] of Watts X Resistance.

Example, I generally like 8 watts on my MTL devices, and presently using a 1.6ohm coil

8 X 1.6 = 12.8, square root of that is 3.5778, rounded up gives you 3.6v

A little more technical

I’m no Provari expert, only have one, but I’m curious. You said you are using a 1.5 coil at 4.9 volts. The power table online computes that as just over 16 watts at 3.27 amps.
How does it vape at that setting? Do you ever get an error code?
My bad.
Should have been 4.5 V = 13.5 W
