Temp control coils

What's everyone's views on temp control coils?
I purchased a pack of 5 ni200 kangertech coils the other week and I'm ready to throw the last one out! I give them 2-3 days max then I start getting dry hits!! Surely they got to last longer than that?
I vape at 25j at 420f could it be my juice? Which is 80% vg ? Any advice apriciated

That's odd, I'm getting at least a week if not two on those coils. I've only had one dry hit & my tank was empty. I vape at 420-440 degrees on at least 70% juices.

My theory is the liquid charmalizes unevenly on the coil. The coil is fired longer until one section overheats before the rest. My solutions, DIY with less flavoring. Use temp control and rebuild (with titanium wire).

I haven't had any dry hits but, I'm not impressed with TC yet. I keep getting a very inconsistent vape on my D2 with a Herakles tank.

I'd have to not know they existed in order to care less about wick protection coils.

It's the flavoring and sweetener in your eliquid that is gunking up your coils. The less flavoring the longer coils last.

How long do Kanthal coils last in your tank at the same power with the same juice?

2-3 weeks I'd say I may try another juice

maybe you should try some unflavored or lightly flavored for a while.

you might just be blaming the coils when the problem is elsewhere

For starters , you shouldn't get dry hits with TC vaping. So that's weird, you should get no vapor at best and a device that immediately is kicking in TC. I don't use ready made coils so can't really help otherwise.

I got 5 boxes of langer occ temp control NI200 coils... horizontal build. They felt like a step down from the OCC vertical coils that never give me dry hits or any trouble at all. Less airflow and just not the same.
