VAMO died, I have money, should I buy a more expensive mod?

So my VAMO 5 didn't actually die, but the screen no longer works so I have no idea what the settings are. I'm using my tastebuds to get it to a decent range but I need a new mod. It's also been having issues with a loose battery connection lately I think.

So currently I run an Aspire nautilus, swapping between 2 x 18350 and a 18650.

I really liked the VAMO, did (I think?) everything I would need... but I'm wondering if there's an advantage to buying a more expensive mod. What's better about them? Which mods are popular right now?

no need to go to more expensive...the SVD by Itaste is approximately the same price and built better
