With a 1 ohm dual coil (basically two 0.5 ohm coils), power will be split between the coils. 8 watts to each coil, totaling 16 watts.

David its two 2Ω coils not two .5Ω coils. Parallel halve, series add.. We always build coils in parallel. There is only one series atomizer on the market and its a $$$ custom unit..

If you have two 2 ohm coils wrapped add them to the atomizer it will make a 1Ω coil.

Two 1Ω coils make .5Ω coil...

Also both coils will have 16 watts pushed thru them. If was in series then halve 8+8 = the wattage..

What's it called?

I do not recall it, it was a while back when i saw it. I posted about it on here too. It used a vertical standoff isolated from ground on the center post it was uber sweeet. Not to popular now that most are bringing ohms closer to 1 ohm but for huge thick gauge wire it is the bomb. It was a 230 dollar atomizer lol.. Now ith 280watt mods out there it would be sweet for companies to make some..
