Almost A Month Off The Stinkies!

This is just a personal yay-me post.

I've been vaping for 28 days, a few days shy of a month.

I can say a few things with certainty:
  1. I can honestly say my lungs feel better. And so does my throat. I don't wake up hacking and coughing. I haven't been coughing up awful-looking brown/yellow phlegm. I don't wake up in the morning with a rough throat, even after a night of drinking and chain-vaping. And I don't have that heavy feeling in my chest that I get from smoking (especially from chain-smoking). What little phlegm I do still get from time to time (which I'm pretty sure it related to being allergic to my cat) is usually clear.
  2. I smell a hell of a lot better (no one can really notice the smell of my vape, but hey, I don't smell like cigarettes!).
  3. NO MORE BURN MARKS IN CLOTHING FROM ACCIDENTALLY DROPPING BURNING ASH ON MYSELF.
  4. I don't wake up with my mouth tasting like the raw side of an ash-tray! And my mouth doesn't taste like an ash-tray in general! (My boyfriend is extremely satisfied with this fact)
  5. I CAN TASTE EVERYTHING! The first week was a little bit difficult with this because my taste-buds were resetting themselves, and about a week in I got flavor fatigue (I literally could not taste ANY of my juices). I change my flavor about once every-other day, and I, well, as I said, I can taste EVERYTHING! Almost a little concerned I might gain some weight with this because, as the say, good things just taste better. On a strangely other bright side of this, I can also taste the alcohol in the beers I drink (which I used to not be able to), resulting in alcohol being a little gross-tasting (why is this a good thing you ask? Well, because I'm trying to quit drinking, that's why!)

I'm sure my cat would like to thank me for the switch. I'm sure my computer would like to thank me as well, since it has been able to go nearly a month without being subjected with ash and tar.

Over-all, the only withdrawal symptoms I experiences was I got just one mouth ulcer, which only stuck around for about a day, and I've been dealing with some fatigue (which might be actually due to the fact that I've been drinking less, which has resulted in actually a decline in my appetite, so I'm not always eating as much as I should).

All-in-all, I'm EXTREMELY satisfied with the change and it has, in some ways, rekindled a desire to get healthy(er).
Yesterday I started a liver detox. Sometimes I really wonder if I'm doing myself any justice with it because I'm still vaping... but I'm trying to detox my liver from all that drinking, not detox my lungs (though there is some info I found that stated PG may not be good for the liver, but it's in very small quantities in my juices (because it's in the flavorings)). I'm consuming more fruits and vegetables, and just trying to see how far I can go with doing my body some good after all the years of hell I've put it through.

Either way, a 13+ year habit of smoking has finally been nipped in the bun.

After trying nearly everything to quit smoking, I can finally say that I don't need cigarettes anymore (especially while I'm sitting here vaping vanilla chai (note: YUM)). I can finally say I'm a non-smoker.
And that feels so good.

I kinda laugh when people say they're proud of me and tell me good job. I snicker a little bit because e-cigs and WTA juice made it INCREDIBLY EASY.

But all things considered, years ago, I tried Blus, and they just didn't cut it for me... so it really was a matter of getting the right hardware and the right juice.
I suppose I should give a big THANK YOU to the guy who turned me onto the Ego batteries and EVODs (though I've since upgraded my tank --- but I still use the EVOD when out and about... since the Aerotank is glass and I really, really, really don't want to break it). (I'm pretty sure I've probably already thanked him like three times now)

Either way... :vapor:
