I am realizing that my "steamer" (as it has been dubbed by my crew) can get pretty beat up at work. It falls out of my pocket into engine compartments, gets lost on my tool cart and with in a few days my nice new white auto battery wasn't looking so new or white anymore. Then a light bulb shone brightly over my head. I took an old atty, chucked it up into a drill, fastened my battery to it, took a strip of 220 crocus cloth, held it tight around the battery and let her spin up. Voila! After a few minutes I now have a nice brushed metal finish on my battery. Maybe next time I'll just order it that way.
