PG is not illegal, anyone can purchase it. I'm a pharmacist and I can order it for anybody(although, it's usually not stocked, it's a special order item). To the OP, the pharmacist that said no way was being lazy and didn't feel like special ordering.

You can just ask for it. I find it's easier online. The pharmacy will charge you the same as the cost + shipping from any online supplier (according to the prices I've seen posted on here--I've only purchased it online) and this way it comes right to your door rather than making another trip to the pharmacy to pick it up. USP means it's approved for consumption by the United States Pharmacopeia (food-grade). I got some here:
