Checking on something for a new member who can't post here yet. Did the GS ever have a plastic tank? Hers broke, she got a replacement and its plastic. I believe I remember reading the early version used a plastic tank, yes?
Never seen or heard of one with anything but a glass tank. Did the replacement come from ismoka/eleaf? Did she get the glass tank replaced, or the
entire GS-* ?

Many of us hunted for sources for glass tube replacements for the original GS-Air, without success.

I just carry mods right in my pocket. Not a big fan of adding extra bulk... just a quirk, I suppose. I've been using the TC40W for that reason... it's pretty slim and pocket friendly.
Yeah me too most times. Sometimes though, when I'm in a showing off mood, I drag out my modified hand truck with the mag wheels and faux drag pipes and recorded race bike sounds. I load it up with all my vape stuff and go cruise the aisles at Walmart.

A bit off topic, here... Anyone heard of or tried these guys?
Vape Moar | Big Bottles. Small Prices. Happy Vapers

Prices are good and the few reviews I've seen seem favorable. I'm interested in the Mellow Gold tobacco vape... very RY4-esque per the description. The unfavorable reviews might be due to vaping at too high a temp. They recommend wattage and temp ranges for each juice. Free shipping over $5, too. They also have a 10% code on 120ml bottles (VAPEMOAR4LESS), bringing them down to $18 a pop.

I'll carry an iStick 30 in my pocket but anything bigger is more comfortable with a belt clip case. I use the camo pattern so nobody can see it...stealth

Not sure, I pointed her to this thread for help. So the original GS was glass?

All of them are glass. The original Air, the M, the MS and the new GS Tank. Even my GS16S's are glass. Or a facsimile of glass. Not plastic that's for sure.

Do you know if the new coils last any longer than the old ones?
The coil she has now is about 21 months old. I think that's pretty fair. I don't like the idea of havin to buy coils. Thanks for your post.

boy I sure don’t know…
probably haven’t bought coils in 21 months

lucky I learned of the T3S coil size (small flange washer)
early on and I purchased several at that time
and have been rebuilding and using since…

you say 21 months - - - -
you mean you have been rebuilding it that long
OR
she’s using the SAME COIL (build) all this time… ? ? ?

The same coil of course. I tried cleanin it and dry burned it. It worked good for a day but I think it might have to be rebuilt or replaced.:(

So does the TC40 eat up battery life, or is that just in TC mode?

I got the TC40 for wife
(I love that thing)
I play with TC here-n-there on it, but it mostly runs in WATTS

the battery lasts forever, hardly EVER goes below ½ and my wife
vapes like a fiend ! (appx 1.2Ω @ 9.5w)

How I set her TC40 :
in both ‘stealth’ mode & ‘lock’ mode (at same time)
and it kinda turns them into high priced ego batteries
can’t see nothing, can’t adjust nothing…

needed a battery/device for wife
can’t find anything out there that compares
40w/SS,spring-510/2600mah/small/USB charge/$27
(oh, and it does TC)

with the ba-zillion iSticks out/sold
there sure is not many complaints (ratio)
so I thought I’d join all the cool kids

:D

Hi Puf...awhile back in another thread (?Innokin)...in a "T3S coil accepting clearomizer" discussion...you mentioned these RBC's.
When I whined about their 1.5ml. capacity...you suggested the 5ml. Hypertank V2.
I got a couple...put in the T3S coils...and they're still in my rotation today...
HyperTank 2

haha, that’s funny (I still never got a HyperTank, wanted one so bad)

that’s way cool you’re using the tank & T3S coils still successfully…

:)

Sí señor. I broke a couple. Cleaned up shattered glass. Also, tried burning a cracked one to prove it wasn't plastic. Didn't ignite, didn't melt, didn't smoke or stink. Glass, Q.E.D.
