In wattage regulating mode, I notice slightly better battery life than feom my istick 30... due most likely to the 2600 mah battery. In TC mode, it depends on the temp cutoff you select. At lowish 400-450 degrees, it's actually pretty decent. Beyond that, it's less battery efficient than wattage mode.
That's what I had expected and the only reason I've recommended the 40 over the 30. I've also heard that it reads temp much lower than others. 400 to 450 is where I vape TC in my mods. Probably comparable to the 40 at 500+, I don't know. There are some derogatory comments being made about it's battery life.....reason I asked.

Quick question. I'm interested in the Joytech eGrip oled - which one (CL or CS) uses the GS air 1.5 coils? There is also a rebuildable deck - does that come with both models of the eGrip? I would love to have an egrip but will not give up my GS Air coils :p
The CS uses the GS Air coils, but only if you swap out the o ring from the base of the Egrip coil. None of the Egrip models come with the RBA base... it's a seperate purchase. For the coils, I'd recommend getting a pack of the Egrip coils, just to have a stash of those o rings. Then, you're free to use the 1.5 or 1.2 ohm GS Air coils.

Most of those statements don't take in mind what vaping at 600 degrees in TC mode does. It allows for those LOOONG airy draws without burnt hits, but at 600 degrees, is taxing that 2600 mah battery the whole time. At 450 degrees, it gets a rest as the mod backs down a bit when the coils hit their target temp. Makes a HUGE difference in battery life.

The first one was/is called the GS Air. Then came the M and MS and now the GS that some are calling GS Air, GS, GS V2. I don't know what it should be called but it's the newest.
Officially, the new 22mm clearo is the GS Tank, with a capital T. Imaginative, I know....

You mean I didn't get the brand newest version by buying an M? Crap, now what? Will the severely outdated M even work?

I thought it was great especially for the first shot at one...:)
Thanks. I'm also going to dive more into the differences in the 1.5 and 1.2 ohm coils. Over the last month, I've seen some (mostly wicking/flooding and their relation to wattage) and want to put that out since I recommended the 1.2 ohm coils. Your power preference really makes a bit of difference in which coils perform better, it turns out.

The M is actually my preferred GS clearo on my TC40W... holds more juice than the Tank.

Who has the best package deal on a new 20 watt iStick with a MS tank ? Just for research purposes....;)
Honestly, if you already have the TC40W en route, you're good. The iStick 20 watt and 30 watt don't offer anything you're not already getting.

If you're talking about the 20w mini istick, the only place I've seen a kit is here:
Curve 2 Mini 20W Kit with 1 bottle of US made Patriot Range e-liquid

It's a rebadged iStick Mini 20w with a rebadged and slightly modified MS tank. Keep in mind that this particular clearo does NOT have an adjustable afc ring on the base... it's wide open, all the time. But since you already own the M, their bases are interchangeable.

Is there any information that shows temp vs watts and volts? 5 volts = 400° along those lines?
Nope..it don't work that way. It will depend on your coil type, resistance, atty and mod too. It doesn't take much power to keep a coil at a set temp once it is reached. The GS Air M is a great choice for moderate vaping...both in performance and price. The new one is a more quality build with a smoother AFC (wait for V3 with larger capacity:2c:) but I still like the M tank for it's liquid volume like Cloudmann said.

Nope. Temp and power don't so much correlate. The wattage (and voltage used to generate it) are basically platforms to crank the coil temp to your selected cutoff temp. Once there, the mod backs down and stops applying power until the coil cools a bit, then reapplies power. They're related, but not directly.

That's why I like PWM for TC in my SX Mini over the regulation in the Evic or rDNA 40. It's a different vape when it's pulsing the power to the coil.:2c:

Agreed. Love my M class. Phenomenal mod with a great vape. But, even though I got it at an absolute steal, it still cost me $155, new. Ouch.
