What do you mean by thud/pop? Is it just popping/crackling?

Temp control has worked on mine as a limiter with the Ni200 coil from KT. Though I think the design sucks, as it really is just a wattage setting and the Temp is just limited by the TC and kicks on if I hit that temperature, vice setting the TC and the device running at the desired temp. Should be called Temp Limiter, not Temp Control. Also when the atomizer gets some time on it, some may leak. Been using it about 6 weeks now.

Yeah, that's what I'm hoping...but still wonder about spitback or gurgling etc. Could be something unexpected. I've never bought a Kanger product before because of the hit and miss reputation.

You got that right bro, Kangertech's quality has certainly deteriorated over the last 18 months. After the last purchase of their coils Ni200 I have moved away from Kangertech and now use Aspire, Crown any Griffin RBA tanks.
