I finished up a mod this weekend that I have been thinking about for a while. I wanted to use 18650/RCR123s and have a juice feed. Obviously this has been done by a few people now (some better then others), but I wanted to try it with a pump bottle, instead of the squeeze bottle.

I ordered up some atomizer spray bottles in a a few different sizes (2,3,4,5ml). The box and the master switch are from the Shack and the switch and connector is from MV. All in all, not including the atty or batteries, it cost me about $15. I only had a few hours while my daughter was napping so it was a bit a of a rush job.

So I put it through a few days of heavy use and I am extremely pleased with it! I have used it exclusively for 3 days now and have had zero issues with it. No flooding and as expected, great battery life. I get about 2 drops per pump. I had to shorten the throw on the pump to have it dispense a little bit less juice and prevent flooding. Next time I will try petercro's idea with the bottom feed.

Here are a few pictures of my latest creation, My 510 Juicer

Thanks HP. I was thinking the same thing before I built it, but i wasn't going to be able to push the spray bottle in the middle. By putting it on the side I was able to drill the hole in the corner big enough to actually push it and still have it held in securely. The bottle is only about 3/8" wide. Next version I am going to try the bottom feed that you guys have been doing, that way I can get it into a smaller box and eliminate the tube altogether. This was sort or a "rough draft" to see if I could actually make it work. :D

Mike, I think it is the 3ml size. This is the link for the 2.5ml, but they sent me a few different sizes as extras, so I'm not really sure. Shoot the seller a email, I'm sure they would send you a few different sizes. ebay

Thanks! As luck would have it I actually still have 9 tabs of their auctions open from the other day! And I had already emailed them about putting together a "sample" pack, which they said they could do. I'm going to order some atomizers/pump and some for squeeze applications.

Thanks and keep us posted on how it's going!

Mike they are great, answered all my questions and even sent me some extras.

Thanks mwa

So day 5 and no leaks or floods seems to be working pretty good, my BSB is feeling a bit neglected. Not very pocket friendly because of the atty and the tube can get caught up. I'm going to play around with it this weekend and see if I can recess the atty and maybe get rid of the tube. I would like to try something like Highping did with the epoxy but I'm not sure I have the patience to sand all that stuff down.

What kind of tubing are you using? Do you have a link? I am still at the study and collect supplies stage, and have not yet attempted to make a mod. I want to be sure I really understand the ins and outs of building them before I take it on. I think the "juice" box model will be my first mod to try to make. I am sure there are plenty of threads in here that I will need to find to read up on the specifics of building. A friend just gave me a tube of some new kind of apoxy puddy that hardens after you mix it up. I don't recall the name, but it is green on the outside and white in the middle. Would this stuff be appropriate to use to secure the battery connections and possibly the juice bottle and atomizer? I liked the mod made from plumbers putty, interesting idea.

That epoxy you have is essentially plumbers putty and yes it's good for what you listed. Epoxy putty comes in different types, each with slightly different work times and strength. I prefer a 5 min. worktime as the 3 min. sets too fast and the longer stuff drives me nuts as I sit and watch it dry! I don't know which kind you have (different brands are different colors) but you'll find out how quickly it hardens.

For tubing, You probably want to use a "food grade" variety (I recommend getting silicone? or other material that can handle high heat if you think you might go the bottom feed route some day).

Oh and not to discourage you but... unless your handy I'd suggest starting with a simple nicostick as there's less variables/potential problems (and of course less cost if it goes awry!). That being said, there's no reason you CAN'T start with something like this, kust that a nicostick will take all of an hour or two to put together and it's good practice if you're new to this.

Just my $.01

is it called mighty putty? have never used it but from the infomercials it seems very similar to the plumber epoxy putty, so should work fairly close to the same. put again have never used it myself

Yes, I think it is the mighty putty, my friend said she saw it on a TV add... I'll have to ask her when I see her again.

Mike, I hear ya on starting with a more complicated mod. I am still on the fence for now, learning as much as I can before I start, might try a simple flash light mod first, just to get a feel for soldering and making my connections work properly. I would eventually like to make some kind of mod that uses a juice feed, and possibly has a color changing LED that only activates when you are holding the button to vape, not on all the time, it will be my party VP. I have been brainstorming on how to make a juice feed mod that is more of the shape of the flash light mods instead of a box... still working on my ideas, but they might involve some of the putty. I just have to figure out how to run the wires up, and the tubing for the juice to reach the cart with out making it too bulky. I have plenty of time to let that one simmer for a while. I definitely don't want something too big.
