Your coil resistance has no bearing on the current drain (amp draw) from your batteries - it only determines the output voltage and output current of the mod's chip/board. The relevant values for calculating battery current drain in a regulated VW device are the real time voltage of the batteries and your power setting.

This is the tool to use for those calculations:

Input 8.4V for the battery voltage to simulate a pair of fully charged batteries in series. Notice the amp draw increases as battery voltage decreases.
