    I ordered some on the 24 of May, the insulator matches my others could I assume these are legit or should I be wary and stay under a 10 amp draw?

    If the insulator is matte/textured and the battery lasts as long as your others in use then it sounds like they're genuine HG2's.

    As far as I know, most of the Asian Dealers (alibaba and the forty thieves) are selling faked HG2. LG stopped selling the HG2 to non confirmed battery Assemblers. Like Sony, also LG does notwant to see their batteries in eCigarettes.
    And this is how FDA will effect a ban on "general purpose" items such as batteries. Won't stop sales of these batteries, it will just make the counterfeits that are sold less safe.
