Are there any drop in coils that don’t flood ?

Could be as the the battery loses voltage, it's not putting out enough power to vaporise the juice, causing the coils to flood.
I run tanks on a regulated mod, so can't say for sure.
yes, that is what happens.
i did not know how to put it in those words.

are any coils better than others for the problem ?

being a mechanical mod i don’t know the voltage.
    I use one of these:
$1.87 V20D 0.36" LED Two Line 3-Digital Direct-Current Volt Meter Module - measurement range: DC 2.5~30V at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Just touch the leads to the battery.
    Or a DMM would work.
Usually on a mech when the voltage drops off to 3.7v, you will know it, as the vape drops off greatly.
Also use caution using drop in coils on a mech.
If you get a bad coil (shorted) from the factory, it would not be pretty.
Put the assembled tank on an ohm meter to check for shorts.

Wait... are you using stock factory coils with a mech? As @Bonskibon points out, that can be exceedingly dangerous.

Firing a mech is at its riskiest moment when you're using a freshly charged battery for the first time. If that battery hits a poorly built, low resistance atomizer with 4.2 volts, the current drawn could pop the coil and result in a short circuit.

That would send the battery into thermal runaway and you'd have to drop that mod and run like the wind.

Since you believe that solving the flooding problem means keeping the battery charged up, the risk of hitting a bad coil with a fresh charge is that much higher.
