Best high drain 18650 batteries?

They aren't very popular on this forum, but out of the 9 18650s I keep in rotation (3 efest and 6 25r's), The efests seem to be more powerful longer.

I am pretty sure the aspires where 20A cells that he tested even though they claimed 40A
The LG hb6 shows to be the only true 30A cdr cell that he has tested. I happen to have a pair of them
Hb6 are 1500mah. In a mech with a .2 ohm build battery life will be disgusting. The VTC4 is the MUCH better choice. Depending on how low you build I would also suggest the LG HG2. 20a 3000mah.

While the Aspire ICR did very well it is an ICR battery and you'll have to decide if that's OK or not.
Otherwise, the VTC4 and HD2 did well, hitting harder than the Aspire near the start.
The HB6 runs the coolest though and gives you the biggest safety margin. It's the only true 30A battery I've seen.
They are 20A cells but can be forced to run at 30A...get hot though and that's not great for ICR batteries.
They get badly damaged at above 30A.

Much love for the Sony's here. Best balance of CDR and mAh. They are the most commonly faked batteries I have seen though.
Problem is finding authentics they are cloned so much until you cut the wrapper you don't know what you have
The Samsung 25r's last a ton longer in my sigelei box than my vtc4&5's ever did I've been 9 hours on them today and I'm just now at 89% that's running my Zephyrus tank at .3 ohms at 65 watts up to an hour ago and now my freakshow at .2 ohms at 85 watts.

You can get authentic VTC4/5's at Illumn, RTDVapor, IMRBatteries, Liion Wholesale, and Orbtronic...if they're in stock.

I hope not. I prefer illumin, but I got my last pair of VTC4s from orbtronics. They seem to work as well as my others. I run low ohm builds in mechs, so I like to use true 30A batteries. I've always relied on the VTC4s in everything.
For the most part, this is true; and Orbtronics openly admit this. They often use the same model numbers when they rewrap Panasonic cells, sometimes adding a protection circuit or positive button top.
Orbtronics also sells cells not originally made by Panasonic. I don't know what original cells they use for those; like the 18650SX30, a 2100 mah 30 amp which Mooch tested as only a 20 amp CDR. I was disappointed to learn this may be only a 20 amp cell.
They also are a reputable seller of brand name batteries like Sony, Samsung, and LG.
