The AW 3000 are rewrappped LGHG2'S and from all the reviews I've seen they are a higher MAH equivalent of the Samsung 25r take the Samsung 25r and add another 500 mah to it and that's what they perform like I actually been researching the LGHG2'S all day and so far no bad reviews they have a slightly higher internal impedance at 20milliohms Sony VTC5'S are 14 and the VTC4'S are 12.5 according to a couple sights I viewed.

I've tested both the 25R and HG2 and the HG2 is a great battery. At 20A down to 3.2V you get about 200mAh more out of the HG2, which is just about right considering the high current level. They run several degrees-C hotter than the 25R but that's not much of a concern when vaping since we pulse our batteries and that (usually) lets them cool.

Hey Mooch For use in a regulated device like an IPV 3Li or a Snow wolf they should hang quite nicely without the risk of thermal runaway right. The only real time heat would be an issue is in a subohm mech build right.

Not always. The IPV 3Li and the SnowWolf would run each cell at 85W-100W if used at full power. That would bring an HG2 up to a dangerously high temperature, over 110°C, if there was a problem with the mod. And up to very, very high temperatures if chain vaping at high power. In my opinion, just the HB6 and VTC4 are ok at these power levels.

Regulated mods can be a lot harder on a battery than in a mech. In a mech the battery current goes down as the battery voltage drops. In a regulated mod the battery current goes up as the battery voltage drops (to maintain the set wattage) in VW mode. A lot depends on the mech's build resistance or the reg mod's wattage though, of course.

Im in a dilemma , I like to vape my Segelei 150w tc at 0.15ohm, 90w and I'm using some authentic VTC5's but at around 30% of the battery left they just wont fire..

I really want some true 30a batteries but the lg ones are only 1500mAh and won't last very long, what batteries would everyone recommend, would I just be better off going with the Samsung 25r ones or are they too under powered like the VTC5's ?

I recommend the VTC4's if you don't want to use the HB6's. They can be pushed to 30A without getting too dangerously hot and are all around great performers. The VTC5's are just 20A batteries, like the 25R's, amd just aren't rated high enough for this level of abuse. :)

Check out my 30A shootout results. There was an interesting winner...
