If they don't want to go to the expense of having a poster printed, We can use Vons flyer, or create your own that they can simply print out.
Thanks for the shout out Debadoo! YES! Definitely, anyone is welcome to use the "poster", just do whatever you can or feel comfortable with.

I got another wild hair yesterday and wrote an article for the local "Free Press" paper. As in most communities, vaping is a very controversial & divisive subject here and it's more about, to vape or not to vape, what my/our personal story is and the why of it all, along with an internet "poached" definition/description of the 4 ingredients in E-Juice, from drugs.com & livestrong.com among others, to show that what we're vaping is NOT anti freeze and formaldehyde. That in turn allowed me the opportunity to state "We are being lied to! Support the film "A Billion Lives"! I also closed with, "A BILLION LIVES" that is the number of lives that will be lost to tobacco use in this century." (Just tried to work it in there everywhere I could. ;))

Don't forget to go back and "spot check" the B & M's you asked for help. First of all, if they only see you ONE TIME, they will probably consider you a flake that really doesn't have as much interest in this as you claimed to have and second, you can see if they really have as much interest in this as THEY claimed to have. ;) ;)

It's in the works.
The banner is a GREAT idea! At the very least, this SHOULD DEFINITELY BE one of the "pinned" threads at the top of "General Vaping Discussion". (Moderators? Oliver?) When I looked for it today as a "guest" it had fallen to the second page.
(My personal opinion; If this film doesn't get the exposure it deserves, "Where do I get...? or How do I fix....? or What does anyone think about....?" isn't going to matter much because in 2 years, there won't be anywhere to "get" or "fix" or "consider" much of anything. Still shocked and amazed by the lack of a cohesive effort to save vaping!)

My :2c:,

Good on ya for writing the local newspaper Von, and definitely a good idea to go back and spot check the B&Ms. As to making this thread a sticky, @classwife there, now someone will see the request, and they can decide if they want to sticky it or not.

I see you are really new around here, and you've jumped right in.
God bless you for that.

We need new blood.
We need people that feel that passion and are highly motivated.

Some of us burned out awhile back.
But we're still hanging on.

The situation is a lot more "ripe" now than it ever has been.

Trying to rally the troops is hard work, and somewhat thankless.
So I'm going to go ahead and thank you.

Thank you DC2! The "burn out" was one of the subjects touched on in my discussions with the LVS owner/operator. I've always considered myself an "activist" though and am tenacious about what I believe in and what I believe to be "right". Will I be able to attend every local assembly meeting, probably not but I do what I can and that's all this thread and A Billion Lives is asking, do what you can. I do "get it" though. It is frustrating and thankless and tiring and begins to seem hopeless pretty rapidly. Fortunately I've learned, that's what "they" are counting on! That's why I posted what I did in "Biggest decline in smoking...." Figure out what the REAL reason is for what the opposition wants (MONEY, DUH) and don't waste your time on the other "smoke and mirrors" - "sucker punch" stuff. ;) As stated earlier in this thread, "They don't give a rat's :censored: about the health benefits. They want to know how THEY are going to get THEIR money." The FDA came right out and said that every bit of the testimonials they received in regard to "Vaping saved my life", "Vaping has had no negative effects for me & I've been vaping for (X) years." "The delicious flavors aren't about "the children", we adults like delicious things too!" are ALL ANTICDOTAL. In other words, we're (FDA) primarily funded by B.P. "contributions" & B.T. taxes so if you want to play, you've gotta put some skin in the game. (How are we gonna get OUR money/justify our existence?) Then there's the gen X'ers & gen Y'ers (no offense youngsters) that have, for some reason always seemed to feel and have in fact been "entitled". They never had to refuse to give up their seat on a bus, stick a Daisy in the barrel of an M-16 or stand in front of a tank in Tiananmen Square. Heck, most probably don't understand the references. I'm starting to ramble but suffice it to say, I'm glad I'm not standing in front of a tank but I would if I had to! As the line in the Xibit/Alice Cooper song (Stand Up/Dirty Diamonds Album) says, "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything!"

Trying to rally the troops is hard work, and somewhat thankless.
So I'm going to go ahead and thank you.

I can't tell you how much that's appreciated! THANK YOU for the thanks!!! (I'm sure you realize that's not why I'm doing this but it IS sincerely appreciated. :) )

STAND UP!

I see the sticky at the top of the forum to watch a video by Aaron but no link to the video. I think it is FANTASTIC that ECF is helping to promote the movie!

@LittleBird, also wonderful your local shops are advocating and will promote the film.
Worth watching. It's always nice to get answers directly from the source.

@LittleBird, Great news and a great job on your local B & M events & support! AWESOME!

Here's the link to the stickied thread:
Worth a Watch! - Aaron from A Billion Lives responds to questions

Thank you Oliver for that. ;) Hopefully, it will explain a bit better where Arron is coming from and the wheres and whys of where he wants to go with this.

Here's a suggestion, hint, tip though, watching the short video does not constitute support. EVERYONE needs to TAKE ACTION, at the very least, by "Liking" & "Sharing" A Billion Lives and encouraging others to do the same.

Thank you for your support.

So, our local B&M has agreed to hand out A Billion Lives flyers to their customers. As well, they are co-hosting a fundraiser for CASAA on Saturday and said they'd be happy to have a stack of flyers for that event. Woot!
That's fantastic!!!! Wahooooooooo I feel like a slug. I've gotten info from Aaron, that has all been posted here, but haven't gotten much done yet myself. After son's surgery tomorrow and hopefully only an overnight stay in the hospital, maybe two, once he's on the road to recovery, I can focus more efforts on what I've asked all y'all to do!!

MOAR COFFEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Always!! Never enough. Purdy Please would you do me sumpthin. On the first post of this thread, in the suggestions of things we can all do..........would you add.......

"ask YT reviewers to make a mention and add links in their reviews about the film" You can reword that it ya want. My brain shut off a few hours ago, so might be a better way to say it. Thanks hun! And, gotta say, I've seen a lot more of your humor last few days, and it's great to see.

I better sleep on it. In the mood I'm in right now, I'd probably tick off most of 'em.

I need to know exactly what you want the addition to say and exactly where to place it in your OP.

:)
oh lordy, you know what happens when y'all make me think!

ok......here goes

insert right under the 2nd video, the webinar with Aaron Biebert.

Please contact YT reviewers and ask them to do 3 things to help us get the word out.

1. Take a moment in at least one video, if not all of their videos to share about the documentary "A Billion Lives"

2. Put these two links in their videos.

3. Ask their viewers to contact their local movie theaters to ask when they will be showing the "A Billion Lives" documentary. If theaters get enough calls about the documentary, hopefully we can get this film into theaters nationwide where it can really do some good.

Number 3 is something we all need to do. I didn't come up with the idea......but it's brilliant!!! Let's all make the theaters pay attention!!

Thanks to all of you who are doing what you can to spread the word! (end post)

Wow, that took a lot of rewriting and rethinking, but I think it's pretty good. However, if you have any suggestions that would make it sound better @Robino1 post here or pm me before you add it to the first post. Thanks so much hun!!
