Hey guys I'd like to ask a question, I recently purchased a joytech ego-ce8 ejc from a friend, as soon as I received it,it hasn't worked once I referred to a few youtube videos but it doesn't seem to help does anyone have any tips?

Hard to say without more info from you.
How old was this setup when you purchased it? Ego batteries are only good for approximately 250 - 300 charge cycles.
Did you click the button 5 times? This is how you turn the battery on and off.
Is the battery charged up? Any light on the fire button? Did you get a charger for the battery?
Often, the center pin gets pushed into the battery if the tank is tightened too tight. Try teasing the center pin up to allow the battery to make electrical contact with the heating coil in the tank.
That should be good for starters.
