Ok CLR fans, I have a question.I wrap a coil for my regulated mods, 30g kanthal, 6 wraps on a 2.5mm mandrel, and I get 2.0Ω, perfect. Now I wrap for my ungrelated mech mod shooting for around 1.4-1.5Ω. Every thing the same as the other coil, except 1 less wrap. It comes out to 2.5Ω, Huh! What the heck is happening? I get this all the time, and waste wire trying to get what I want.

I thought of that, but I don't think so. Building the same way, the leg length from the mandrel to where it's bent over would be the same.

I know the CLR leg needs, but what is the build-deck of the mech mod ?

below is WHAT IT SHOULD BE, so you are doing SOMETHING WRONG - but as per your description I can't pick out what it is... (still pondering)

I'm not against AIO.

I just don't want them to stop producing/innovating what we all like--CLR coils and atties. Ego One megas v1 are almost gone, I don't think they are making them anymore.

On your unreguated mod that 5 wrap reads 2.5 ohms what does it read on your regulated mod?
Also the other perfect coil that reads 2.0 on your regulated mod what does that one read on our unregulated mod.?

Try switching the coils on the 2 mods as it could be the unregulated mod giving different reading actually correct for what the mod is seeing .
Also if you have a 3rd mod try a reading on that also with the 2 coils for further comparison.
