Two things:
First - has anyone seen Mud around lately?
Second - I have found that even the eLeaf coils are hit and miss. I just changed out one that I was using for about three weeks. Probably could have kept on using it too, except it was just performing rather poorly. Still performing, though. Now I'm on one that has barely been in a week and its performance seems to be fading already. The juices are different, however, the darker, higher VG juice has lasted longer on a coil at one point, than the clearer, lower VG juice, and vice-versa. So, it has to be the coils are just off every now and then, right? I feel I would be remiss if I didn't hit this point home once again; even at their worst, the GSAs and their coils have been the best setup I have found thus far.
And there's my :2c::2c: (twice because it was a bit more than just two cents worth). :D
I think he was going on a cross country vacation...driving:confused:

I would cringe when someone would try the GS Air tanks based on what was written then come back and give it a thumbs down
after trying a coil or two. Even with the occasional bum coil, they are cheaper than anything else.
So I agree, even at their worst, they are the best.;)

I don't hate silica, but I prefer cotton and rayon. Having said that, those GS Air coils are really nice. There's some magic going on. I really really like them as they are--silica and all. Don't ask me why.

Why?

OKC, OK
Is that considered a lot?
I really don't know, a lot for some, a little for others. I just added that to give idea of how long the coil last. A week or a month doesn't really tell much since I know some people who vape 1 ml or less a day, I would expect they get a little more lifespan from a coil than I do.

The original Lemo?

What's your build? Coil ID, wire gauge, if you don't mind. Still trying to find my sweet spot on the Drop.

Yeah, me too. ^^^^

So far the best for me has been 26 gauge, 9/8 spaced wraps on a 7/64"bit, over the top, through the holes = 1.3-1.4 ohm. But I think my MPT2 with 12 wraps of 28 gauge on a 1.6-1.7mm "bit" and an AFC base still beats the Drop for flavor, hands down.

28 gauge 7/6 spaced coil, 1.6-1.7 ohm, same bit, mounted on the screws sucks. It's coming out tonight. Flavor disappeared somewhere.

Will try 28 gauge, 9/8 micro-coil, hopefully 1.6-ish, next.

Also looking at the GSA-MS because I can't trust the Drop not to leak when I'm out and about and have it in my pocket.

Here's the Kanger Subtank Mini grommet in the GS Air coil, it's a perfect fit.
Some of the coils have this liner that's next to the coil, not all, very few...

I don't use 26 gauge. I like 28 and 29 for most of my builds. I like a coil that heats up and cools down fast, ca 2 mm diameter, coils touching. Just works for me.

Will try 28 gauge, 9/8 micro-coil, hopefully 1.6-ish, next.

My favorite build for the Lemo (so far): 28AWG, 10/9, 2mm i.d. (KGD or rayon), touching microcoil ~1.6 Ω; under the screws.

I'm going to try a 2.5mm i.d. next.

Any mass produced stock coils will be hit and miss. Nature of the beast.
Yeah Katya. With my first batch (in which I've been using the last week or 2), they have been 2 to 3 days then all of a sudden my resistance starts rising, then it's done. :(
Is that sock mandatory for the rebuild? I think that's the non woven gauze in Cheech's video?
By the way Cheech, it is a nice video. When I get around to it, I will definitely follow it for my recoiling in the future.
