The only Flavor Art I've ever bought (from RTS) was Hazelnut. I also bought TFA Hazelnut at the same time. I finally had to pour out the flavor art. It was unbelievably bad, both smell and taste. May have received a bad batch since my sis bought some at about the same time and it too was really bad. I mixed up my TFA Hazelnut first and it was delicious. Sis only bought the flavor art and hers was totally unvapeable for her. I was telling her how good mine was. I finally sent some of my mix to her. She poured her flavor art out too and ordered some TFA.
I am not willing to reorder FA Hazelnut to see if my first batch was spoiled or whatever and am leery of ordering any other of their flavors after this being my first experience with them.

I'm pretty much in your same boat... It's like they're reaching for purity and cleanness but came short. My brief biopsy of the flavors I have from them:

Honey: Absolutely dominates a mix, and yet doesn't stand out. 15% of capella vanilla custard + 1 TINY DROP of honey = mildly unsweet honey flavored e-liquid; Want to add 1-2 more drops to get a stronger honey taste? Enjoy your flower-tasting e-liquid.

Maple Syrup: Honestly the only good one so far, but can only be used as a mixer.

Strawberry: 2% = mild strawberry flavor; 15% = mild strawberry flavor; 7.5% = mild strawberry flavor; suffers from non-sweet strange aftertaste

White peach: 2% = mild peach flavor; 5% = mild peach flavor; Throat hit = absurdly harsh at any level; suffers from non-sweet strange aftertaste

I think there's an issue of confirmation bias/ purchase regret that plagues DIY. Everyone thinks their mix is great and loves almost every flavor. Everyone's PG/VG ratio is different and every setup used is different. There are very flew flavors regarding as universally bad, and if you don't like them you get the response, "What do you mean? They're great! My mixes are great!"

Very frustrating. I'll have to pick up some of their creams just to make sure, but I don't see how they could go from something so crappy to having amazing custards. I've been having far more success with capella's, but many contain diketones.

FA is like any of the others. It's not any more "concentrated" than the others. It just depends on the aromatic chemicals they used and if they need alcohol to dissolve the molecule into pg/vg. Some flavors are good some aren't. FA has been considered by the general diy public to be overall good in that a significant number of their flavors are accurate to their description. However, like the other companies there will be some you like and don't like. EX I love their custard, but their chocolate is meh to me.

I use all of mine at 1-3% (2 on average) I absolutely love cookie and fresh cream in mixes. The cookie adds a wonderful bakery note that is very diverse (can use for cake, cookie or other bakery mixes in place of "cake" flavorings/etc) Fresh cream and Vienna cream are the best creams I have tried DIY wise. (I am picky about creams... most taste rancid to me) Peppermint is the best mint I've tried thus far. (candy cane flavor) Their butterscotch is decent. Cantelope, coconut, watermelon, forest fruits/summer cloud and pomegranate are all good. I think you may have just happened to pick bad ones lol and/or the percentages you are using are too high. Keep in mind that using too much flavor can not only make a juice bad but it can weaken the flavor as well. Someone posted recently that the initial mix was weak but as time progressed it lost flavor completely. That's good sign that it's too much flavoring. (he used a high percentage... like 15%-20% of whatever it was)
There are a couple from FA I do not care for but overall, they are solid to my tastebuds.

I watched a video awhile back where a guy mixed FA desert ship by color. He had to have used 5ml in a 30ml bottle. I gagged just thinking about it.
Generally I like the FA tobaccos, but the only one I have really been able to enjoy is 7 leaves and I don't go over 2%. Anything higher and I can't taste it after a few puffs. Strange how that works.

I don't know.....I like FA, but then again I like TFA, Inawera, Flavor West, Flavors Express, and Capella. Different flavors for different applications. Oh, and I like Hangsen too!!!!
Mind you not every flavor is for my palate, but I've found good stuff by every manufacturer. About a year ago I started extracting my own teas and tobaccos, and to give you an example....a Dunhill 965 pipe extraction with a few drops of inawera's DNB, and some of TFA's Honey, and Flavors Express Plum, plus a couple of drops of Raisin make for an awesome Vaping experience.
Granted some have better products than others but all these manufacturers rock when it comes to variety and options. Flavor West for example requires a 20% mixture in some of its fruity flavours, but it is incredibly inexpensive and being a PG base, it pretty much holds flavor longer than say...Natures Flavors which is VG based, but useful for those who don't like PG.
FlavourArt has the concentrated low% in their favor, but they also make some awesome tobacco flavors, and enhancers.
I can understand favoring one Flavor House over another. Personally my favorites are FlavourArt, and Inawera, but I use them all except for DIY Flavorshack that just rebottles flavors and overcharges for them.
OK enough of my rambling, thanks for letting me vent.:)

I agree. I like TFA, Vaping Zone and some Capella as well. Not a huge fan of the Hangsen flavors I've tried. Don't like Lorann's. The thing I like most about Flavour Art is that the percentages (for me) are consistent. Whereas all the other ones, the percentages are all over the place. You have some TFA flavors that are so powerful that you literally need a drop per 10ML. Then there are others that people are using at 10% or higher. It's kind of annoying trying to figure it out firsthand, which is why I read up on them as much as possible before using them. I generally come to my own conclusions on the percentages, as mine are usually much lower, but it's nice to have an idea of where to start.
