Help! SmokTech carto tank question

I just purchased my first carto tanks, 2 SmokTech 510 UDCT V2 3.5ML tanks. After figuring out how to prime the carto and fill the small space between the tank and carto with e liquid, I noticed the tank came with an extra white rubber seal as shown in the picture. What is this for?? The only thing I can thing of is to put it directly into the carto between it and the drip tip. I didn't do this however because I am concerned it would obviously melt. Is it to prevent liquid from escaping through the drip tip or is it something else altogether? Thx!

Hey, Andrew...
that rubber seal fits into either the top or bottom cap. Check and see if either one of your caps is missing the rubber gasket. If both ends have the gasket, then you have an extra! No worries!

If one of the ends is missing the gasket, put it in there or, yeah, it'll leak.

Thx for the reply! It turns out it does in fact go between the sponge of the carto and drip tip to prevent the liquid from leaking out. These things are amazing even when I use them on my little 450mAH Emus batteries! Love em

I believe the white rubber part you're speaking of is called a "doughnut" and is not required to be put into the top of the cartomizer. Cartomizers come shipped with the white doughnut in case you don't want to use a drip tip, or mouthpiece. I would leave it out of the cartomizer when using it in a cartotank, as it could restrict the draw.

That white silicone cap goes in a cartomiser if you are not using a drip tip

Pull it out and toss it if you're putting a driptip in it as Bad and the others have said. Its there for if you're vaping off the carto without a drip tip. Sort of an endcap.
