I have to get off analogs, not sure yet if this a a step or a half step, but it sure can't be any worse for me! I've fought off bronchitis all winter, which has just started, already! It's only goin to get worse. I KNOW I need to quit, I KNOW I have o quit, but my mind just isn't in the right place to do so. I know it's not logical, but most smokers understand what I am saying.
I made the order tonight! I did screw up guys, order 8841, I want to try the auto batts., too much going on around here to think of everything! Sorry about that, my fault!
I even ordered a bunch of the Cuban juice to hopefully ween myself off of this.
God I hope it is what you all make it out to be!
Thank you all for the sugestions, I did a LOT of reading and research on this, I only found out about any of this after hearing about "smoke assasin" and reading all the bad things about them. Then I came across V4L and loved the simplicity.
Anyway, I'll quit rambling, thanks,
Andy

I have decided I want the manual batteries, actually, I'm too inclined to leave the auto ones hanging in my mouth and puff endlessly. If you decide you don't like your manuals after a few days or whatever send me a private message here and I would be happy to discuss a trade.

I just got my kit last Thursday, in the past week I have smoked less than 5 cigarettes... two of which I could have completely avoided had I planned ahead and had my battery/cartomizer assembled before getting in the car. One of which could have been avoided had I brought a second cart with me to work. The thing works. Just be cautious that you don't do it too much at first, I have to ween myself off a bit as I'm far more addicted to this right now than I was to cigarettes. Combination of getting a higher nicotine strength than I needed and deciding it was okay to puff on those higher strength carts just for the flavor... they have 0mg and 3mg carts for that.

To you all please don't beat yourself up if you can't quit immediately, but it can be done! I was a 38 year pack a day smoker, and I quit! But any cig you don't smoke is a victory.
Give vaping a chance, think of it as a health kick you're going on ;)
You have all the support you need on this forum and the crew at V4L :)

Sawlight, congratulations on your decision and welcome!

We all started from the same place, really. Most try it to quit smoking; others are looking for an alternative to smoking; still others try it so they can come in out of the cold and vape indoors. But whatever your reason, I'm sure you'll like it.

Most of us migrated here after trying other models. So if this is your first e-cig, then you are way ahead right at the start, because V4L is one of the finest suppliers out there. They care about their customers. The customer service is totally awesome, and the warranty can't be beat. They sometimes have problems, but they always make them right, and then some.

Again, welcome! I look forward to your posts to let us know how you're doing once you receive your first order.

Moonstruck: Those are all the reasons I went with them! I've read how quickly and readily they respond, I am impressed!
I will stil vape outside, I need to make it dificult. otherwise I wont put in the effort! My wife and I talked about this tonight before I ordered, I WANT to be off totaly, hopefully in a year. But I will still go outside, the only change is on roadtrips, we have a 4yo. and I DO NOT smoke with him in the car, so we have to stop for me to have a cig. She is agreeable if the odor isn't bad, then I can vape in the car on trips.
I've done MYO and am tired of the hassle of that, cheap or not, it's a PITA!
I screwed up on the order, I'm easy and won't lose any sleep over it, I ordered the PCB kit and an extra auto battery, I think they can figure it out, if not, I get one of each to see which I lie better! I'm easy:D

There's almost no odor unless you vape right into someone's face, and then it's really pleasant, depending on the flavor, of course. But you won't smell like an ashtray any more, and that's a really good thing. The vapor smell only lasts a few seconds, if that, since it dissipates really fast. People have to get really close to me to smell the vanilla I'm vaping.

This is one change I think your wife is really going to love!

Sawlight, welcome to ECF. Vaping has a learning curve, even the Vapor King. Come here often if you can to read about others' experience, tricks and tips. It really helps. You may need to adjust nico strength, will probably experience flavors you don't care for, etc. It doesn't happen overnight for most of us. Auto batts are just fine, IMHO, especially on a new carto. You may get a pass thru with your order, which will enhance the experience. Don't give up, keep experimenting until you find exactly what works for you.

Thank you all for the support! I love the idea of the pass-thru, but that makes it too easy!!
I wish I had my act together somewhat tonight! I ordered a spare "short" battery, I had to order another battery and appologize for being a screw up:evil: Idiot!!

I've got a few of the tobbaco flavors I preffer on order in the 18mg strength, pack a day on mild pipe tobbaco in a FF tube, should be close, and a few of the small juice to play with, in five empty carts. Then five empties and a large bottle of 8mg Cuban. My "theory" is to get to enjoying a "cigar" with 0mg once in a great while.
Sorry if I am aprehensive and don't seem to have it together tonight, I made a "comitment" to my wife that I would stick with this and I was done with tobbaco tonight. Since I've given my word, there is not backing out. I know what I know, not this, I am going out on a limb in hope, so I am VERY nervous about this, I will not fail my wife!

Sawlight ....I smoked for 33 years at 2 packs a day The first day I got my V/K I only smoked a pack that day and went down from there I was analog free on the 6th day and havent even tried one since

I like many people tried everything else on the market to quit and nothing has worked but this... It is a learning curve so take your time and try and find the right thing for you it will work

I have a 2 year old and I vape around her and my other family members and it does not bother them at all

best of luck to you and welcome to the family and above all dont give up

Tom

Again, thank you all! I wasn't expecting this much support, this is awsome!
I've quit before, once I just traded smoking for dipping, I'm not sure which is worse! The wife said that was not going to happne again, I tend to agree! Another time I ended up getting adicted to Lifesavers candy, not all bad, but I kept knocking a crown off of one tooth, not that good.
The last time, the stars and planets where in line, things where going well, I quit drinking and smoking, then rode my bicycle like a feind. It was good. Then it was to kill an idiot neigbor, or start smoking. He's since moved, but I still regret the choice I made!
When I set my mind to it, I can quit, and I can't for anything understand why right now I don't want to set my mind to it, but I don't!
But I am commited to this, and my order is on the way, we'll see when it gets here how bad I screwed it up last night, totaly my fault, and make something work!

I got my order in, all I can say is You guy's are NUCKING FUTS!! I can't see how you can stay in buisness with all the freebies you add!! Thank you VERY MUCH!!!!

Stupid question, when do you know when the PCC is charged? I have it plugged in to the USB and the red led is glowing solid, does it go green, or is this charged?

The Auto's, I am glad I went this way, maybe it's the new cutoff, I don't know, I hit it like I would a cig, small drag to get the cherry glowing, then a long drag to inhale. Works fine, I might have gone a bit low on the nic. but I can deal with this, 2.5 hours without an anolog, not much, but a start.

So far I've tried the Cowboy and Kamel, really not a huge difference between them. But they both seem "dry" compared to analogs, is this a normal thing? I wish I could explain it better, it's not acidic or perfumey, but just a dry sensation. I will try the Cuban here latter, and the 555 and Virginia, but so far the tobbaco tastes, are flat?

This will work, I am nothing but impresed at how things are working, I used Taryn's trick to fill my empty cart's, yeah, I've got to do something better, the bag for the short bat's SUCKS for this purpose!!!

Again, Mark and Steve, thank you so much! As for the rest, I guess you are stuck with me, I like this beter than analogs already, THANK YOU ALL!

Welcome sawlight! Happy to hear that you got your order and are happy with it! and 2.5 hours without an analog - that IS impressive. To address the issue of why you don't want to quit analogs right now - fear. Giving up an 'old trusty friend' is terrifying. Your analogs have been with you through thick and thin, easing stress and providing comfort. The VK will do the same for you, but don't worry if it doesn't happen over night.
They are dry compared to analogs. Drink lots of water!!
It does take a while for the PCC to charge.
Don't forget - we are all in this together!
