I run a small Classic Rock station in the mid-west named Voice Of Belle Plaine 92.9fm. We also stream on the web with that name and Styx N Stones Radio Network.

For the 3 days before Christmas we play a mix of Christmas Rock and Christmas Comedy. There are a few that fit into both... Comedy Christmas Rock. So, these 3 fit well into that.

This one is 'Sled Zepplin' by Bob Rivers. It's a parody of Zeps D'yer Mak'er. If you are a Zep fan you'll get a big kick out of it! Even if you're not a fan, it's well worth hearing!!!

This one is the most bizarre duet I can imagine. The artists are Bing Crosby and David Bowie (yes, you heard me rite) doing 'Little Drummer Boy'. It was done for Bings annual TV Christmas show (the last one before he died). Bowie was just getting started... his first TV appearance. As strange as the combo sounds like it would be, it's very classy! The dialog at the start speaks about the age difference (quite funny). You can see the video on YouTube and well worth the effort to see. There's a part where they do 2 different tunes in the round.

My first entry is a memory of my nearly best Christmas.......when I was a child my brother & I both got packages from one of my favorite Aunts.........they were small boxes wrapped in red paper with a bow on it.......she pulled them out and said "I think this one's for you"...........so I sat down on the steps and opened it.....it was a pen knife...I was so excited I danced around and gave hugs to everyone....just then she said "Oh...I think that was your brothers package"...so as he opened his it was a pretty watch that you hang on your neck.....I had to give the pen knife to him and I got the neck watch............

I received one of these for Christmas in the mid 60s. It was about the time other kids were giving up on Santa. I KNEW there had to be a Santa because my mom would NOT allow my dad to buy me one of these.

Yes, I know there are the required "orange" caps. Mine did not have those.

My family exchanges gifts on Christmas Eve, so we'd often have friends come over and have dinner before we'd dive into presents. One of our traditions was that the kids sat on the floor in front of the tree while the adults sat in the chairs and couch across the room. The first kid (usually me, but not always) picked a random present from under the tree and passed it along to the next person, and then the next, until it reached the person who was the recipient.
