I remember visiting Santa's little house on the corner outside of the public library. There would occasionally be a line, but there was nothing fancy and no photography equipment--and no hard-sell on the parents into buying crappy photos.

One of my favorite memories as a child was at the age of 6 (many moons ago), my mother stayed up all night to build a Lincoln Log house and told me Santa brought it for me. It was a special gift that I still treasure to this day.

I have been a Dallas Cowboys fan further back than I can remember and probably my favorite Christmas was when when I got a new football and a Walt Garrison jersey. He was the coolest guy when I was a kid. He was not just a Dallas Cowboy, he was also a real cowboy, rode rodeo in the off-season, how cool is that. The guy was such a cowboy in every sense of the word that as part of a signing bonus from the Dallas Cowboys he received a new horse trailer.
The Dallas Cowboys won the Super Bowl that season and I literally wore that Garrison jersey out. I wore it until it faded out, had holes, think it eventually just disintegrated. I eventually wore that football out too.

One of my favorite things to do every Christmas season is to drive around at night and check out the cool lights and decorations people have set out. I haven't done it yet, but may go later this week!
