Often if you call a hospital or clinic and tell them you need help but you can't pay they will give you a few phone numbers of places you can go that may be able to help. Most larger cities have clinics that operate with a sliding scale, so if you truly can't afford medical care you will only be charged a minimal amount depending on proof of income (or lack thereof).

If your income dictates that you don't qualify for the reduced (greatly reduced, nearly free) cost care then you likely can find the money somehow and can often get on a payment plan to make it easier. IMO, your symptoms require medical attention SOON (today, tomorrow...) so please don't feel like there's no options out there for people who are uninsured, yea there are fewer options and the options that are afforded you may not be what you would have chosen for yourself, but it doesn't hurt to make a few phone calls and see what CAN be done instead of worrying about what CAN'T be done.
