Hi there,

I''m from Vietnam and has very limited of supplies. I plant to buy subox MINI 50W starter kit with (Aspire 18650 2500mAh 40A) battery. Is this battery suit for this kit?

Besides, in my country, I just can find Liqua e-liquid (Riichy.com) to vape, but I''m not very sure about its quality, also its flavor. Can you give me some information about it, is it safe?, and what flavor you think more comfortable (because they have a lot of flavor, I'm so confused !)

Please help me if you have some information !
Thank you very much !
Please forgive for my poor English.

You need a 20A CDR (continuous discharge rating) cell and the Aspire is 40A PDR (pulse discharge rating).

I have not seen a bench test of the Aspire 2500 mAh cell but seeing that the Aspire 1800 mAh is 20A CDR, makes me think the Aspire 2500mAh is less than 20A CDR.

Aspire 1800mAh ICR 18650 Retests
Aspire 1800mAh 18650 Bench (Re)Test Results...great at 20A, beating the 25R, equaling the VTC4

Here are some options for 20A CDR batteries (in descending mAh). Can you find one of these?
  • AW 3000 mAh 20A CDR
  • LG HG2 3000 mAh 20A CDR
  • Samsung 30Q 3000 mAh 20A CDR
  • Sony VTC5 2600 mAh 20A CDR
  • LG HE2 or HE4 2500 mAh 20A CDR
  • Samsung 25r 2500 mAh 20A CDR

so can I use this battery? Is it safe? Is it explosed?
Yes, you can use this cell (i.e. battery). It will not explode. You are using a regulated mod that offers you some protection.

The greatest demand being put on the cell would happen if you were chain vaping at 50 watts when the battery is low on charge. So if you are constantly vaping at 50 watts, charge the cell often (i.e. don't let it die in the mod before charging).
what are diffrents between CDR and PDR.
Here are a couple of blog links which explain the difference
There are only a few battery manufacturers in the world who make their own "cells", including LG, Panasonic, Samsung, Sanyo, and Sony.

All the other brands on the market buy the second and third tier cells from those manufacturers and re-wrap them under their own brand, but these are "second and/or third tier cells" which did not meet the higher standards of the original manufacturer. So, in order to compete with the original manufacturers' batteries (first tier), these other companies feel obligated to publish specifications which are inflated to make them appear superior to those of the original manufacturer.

* (AW is Andrew Wan, a former Panasonic employee who branched out to create his own "brand" of batteries. He allegedly has agreements with the major cell manufacturers to purchase first tier batteries from them. Not all batteries are created equal, so AW tests these batteries for quality. The best get chosen to be AW brand, and are re-wrapped as AW.)

Do your research before you buy. Decide what battery to buy depending upon the application that you will use them. That's where ECF's battery safety experts can help.

Here are links to some of @Mooch blogs:
And a couple from @Baditude (another battery/safety expert).
Another essential read to understand which batteries are safe to use in mechanical and regulated mods. Includes a frequently updated list of recommended safe-chemistry, high-drain batteries with their specifications.
A cautionary blog that reveals that the purple Efest batteries may not have the specifications advertised. Also includes a commentary on "continuous discharge ratings" vs "pulse discharge ratings" of battery specs.

Oh, but I just have one more question. Can I use SUBOX MINI 50W starter kit, with this battery, but I just vape at 40 watts. AS far as I know, this mod has the function to adjust watts. Thank you again !
Yes you can.

At 40 watts (when the Subox Mini indicates it's time to recharge the battery) you will be pulling 12A. I'm sure your battery will have no problems with that (from a safety standpoint).

Wao, thank you so much. But who knows, maybe I want more vapor, so I will change to another battery. (will search somewhere to buy it) :)
Check Fastech (based in China). They ship to Vietnam. They also sell a lot of vaping gear/devises. Lots of different mods/tanks/coils/wire/etc.

Any product with "style" in the description is a clone.
Any product with "authentic" in the description is authentic.
Read the reviews and discussions before you purchase any mod or tank to see what everyone has to say about the product.

How can I say about you? You''re the best ! Unfortunately, after some political conflicts, they seem to be ignore us, and we either. (as you know the disputing of South Vietnam Sea), but just forget about it. I can find the battery. Thank you so much !

However, can you teach me what is "steeping" ? I do not know much about this, try some google, but I do not really understand.

Sorry to hear that.:(
However, can you teach me what is "steeping" ?
Steeping usually is done by members who make their own juice from concentrated flavorings, PG, VG & nicotine (DIY). It is also done by members who purchase e-liquid/juice from a supplier who mixes the juice at the time it is ordered.

If you are buying pre-prepared e-liquid/juice steeping may not be necessary.

Here is a great video by Abby Vapes on Breathing & Steeping e-Liquid/Juice.

It is very good to know. There are lot of things that I have to research about e-cig. A lot of interesting information ! Thank you very much !
You are very welcome!:)

If you are interested in learning more about e-cigarettes (and all the parts and pieces) below are some blog posts by ECF member @Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping.
Here are a few more links from New Members Information <= Link covers many topics. Here are two of them:
Nicotine

A "general guideline" for nicotine concentration in e-liquid to the number of cigarettes smoked per day. If you are subohming (resistance under 1.0Ω) cut these nicotine levels by at least 50%.

06 mg = 10 cigarettes or less
12 mg = 20 cigarettes
18 mg = 30 cigarettes
24 mg = 40 cigarettes

eLiquid/Juice

PG = Propylene Glycol - the "flavor carrier" of e-liquid. A secondary source of "throat hit", but not as strong as the nicotine concentration. Some people have a sensitivity or even an allergy to PG. It's very thin.

VG = Vegetable Glycerin - the "vapor maker" of e-liquid. Used as a sweeter in many food sources, and also as a skin emollient. It's very thick. Often labeled just "Glycerine"

PG and VG are often used together in different ratios in e-liquid. For example, a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. Many juice vendors offer a range of different ratios as far as PG/VG.

But yeah Richy liquids will not be good for a subox which has a sub ohm tank on it. They are probably about 80PG and 20VG. For any sub ohm tank you want at least 70VG....

If you can only get hold of Richy liquids, I'd get a CF4 and a nautilus mini tank with 1.8 ohm coils and vape between 10 - 18 watts.

Good luck :)
