I can't stand the 18350 in my mod but love the wood pipe look. I'd like to get your opinion on an idea. I'd like to make this into an 18650 mod. I found a D2 for $39.99 and thought I could use the guts from it for the conversion. I'd take the battery and place it where the tank (stem area) is and use the old battery case for the guts and wire it all up the same as it is on the D2 using the parts from the smok that I can like the battery negative spring, the switch, the 510 connector and cover the battery with a wood sheath with a large air hole. Similar to the Freight Train mods tank cover. Would this work ? or should I just get a DNA40 and wire it up, I'm look for the easiest most cost effective way of course. Some issues that arise are the old switch is variable from 6-15W obviously this would be more, should I just use a different switch? Perhaps cut the threads off the SMOK switch cap and wire it to use as a fire button only? Any info helps.
