Ok so i got tired of my battery going dead while sitting on the computer reading this forum, so i decided to tackle a usb mod. i started looking around the house for things i could use ( i collect all sorts of junk just for situations like this). first was an extra usb cord, that was the easy part. then i came across a mini mini mag lite. a little more serching and i found a toggle switch that i saved from an old lamp that i was just tired of fixing and an old ecig battery that didnt work any more. i gutted both the battery and mini mag and wired the usb to the toggle switch then to the battery. simple. its not the best looking mod but it works great. my only question ( to you advanced modders is Should ther be a fuse or relay or something? i know just the basics when it comes to electric stuff. the last thing i want to do is short out my computer. any advice?

how did you connect the wires from the toggle switch to the old ecig battery. Did you attach it to the existing wires or to a metal part on the battery(guess).
A great idea to allow powering from a nearby mobile phone's microwave leakage - just by placing the usb connector near the mobile - brilliant!
