$130 doesn't sound cheap to me

and what all this confusion over minimum voltage and wattage?
minimum voltage is 0.6 volts
and minimum wattage is 5 watts
5 watts isn't high

US-made board and centigrade temperature indication seems like a weird mix, particularly with nearly all other boards doing farenheit by default. And I'm thinking 5w would certainly burn dry cotton.

That was exactly what I was thinking.

A USA made chip that measures temperature in Celsius? I'm not convinced the claims are true.

If it's enough to heat up the coil so it almost glows, yes. And I can certainly do that at the 5w setting of my SVD (try heating a dry coil at 5w and then touch it. You'll burn yourself).

1: Surely 5 watts can burn dry cotton, but that does not mean 15mW/mm2 will and I provided an example with nickel at 5 watts giving 15mW/mm2.
A normal vape is more like 200mW/mm2.

2: If it is a temperature controlled device, then the 5 watts should just be the minimum that the user can set. If the coil gets too hot I would expect the chip to stop sending power

I kinda like it, displays both Celsius and Fahrenheit. Dont get why it uses PWM over 150W though as I understood that was more of a buck than boost feature. When compared with iPV3 upgradable TC preorder that will (eventually) do 200W and the iPV4, it does seem a bit over priced but also looks solid and simple to use....mmm, choices choices hehe

If it wasn't for that whole "USA Made Chip" part, and the 200w output, I'd almost think it was a Yihi OEM board based on the SX330 4S.

There was someone on Reddit who claimed he found out from a rep at ISK that the chip is actually a Yihi SX350 V200 and that the mod is being built in the Sigelei factory, and this will all be revealed once testing was completed and the device began shipping. I guess we'll find out soon. Yihi is currently claiming that although the V200 chip exists, it's not currently being used in any device, or is being sold to any other company in China.
