Stuck Spring-loaded 510 connection

Any ideas on how to fix a spring-loaded 510 connection that's stuck?

clean the mod, use a tooth pick.

On my old EGO batteries.. When the contact got pushed in from, tightening. I would have to pry it back up. using a toothpick or tiny screwdriver. That wasn't a spring. It could just be, jammed, crooked or dirty. and need a little nudge from the side or a dousing with rubbing alcohol. To clean it and free it up.

Well that does Kinda rule out opening up the Mod to get access to the 510 Connector from the Inside.

I would do what 93gc40 suggested above. And I would do it All while the Battery is Not In The Mod.
