I just hit the mark- I call it honey cream, simple name, simple mix- but so tasty!

Honey 5%
Bavarian Cream 5%
Ethyl Malto 10% in PG 1%

Mixed up a batch of this today at 6 mg/ml 50/50 PG/VG, the honey seems a bit strong to me at the moment so I'm going to put it up to steep for a month and come back to it.

Hi All
I've looked through this and the last list of DIY favorite flavorings. I've never gone the DIY route, but if someone could lead me to a watermelon that tastes like a slice of a real watermelon from the garden instead of a candy watermelon flavor I would seriously take the leap into the DIY world. There is such a difference between the flavor of a real watermelon and a piece of watermelon candy. There has to be a flavoring that really tastes like a piece of watermelon, doesn't there?
Thanks to everyone for their help!!

I'd love to find a peach flavor (or combination of peach flavors) that tastes like a ripe peach picked fresh from a tree. I'm not a big fan of the artificial peach flavor that they use in candies and such, but I absolutely love fresh ripe peaches. Is there a flavoring out there (or combination of flavors) that tastes like the real thing?
Thanks to everyone!!

Key Lime Pie (Custard Note Free)

4% TFA Key Lime
4% TFA Cheesecake w/graham cracker crust

I think this is delicious and my wife absolutely loves it. Best of all it is diketone free. You can add .5-1% FA fresh cream to add some creaminess or maybe TFA Whipped Cream but I havent tried it yet. I will mix some with the whipped cream next week when I get back from vacation. We think it tastes great fresh so no steeping needed...just a quick hot water bath. Try it and let me know.

Give flavor art a try. Their fruits taste like the real thing....not candyish at all.

Agreed the FlavourArt fruit flavors are awesome, most are anyways. The FA White Peach is amazing.

paddymx, it seems you are compiling a list for recipes. I went to a link I found of yours on here, but cannot seem to find the recipes. Did I do something wrong, or am I looking in the wrong place, or am I mistaken that you are compiling a list?

EDIT: Apologies. I found it. I was just looking in the wrong place.

Thank you so much for making this :)

Sorry, don't do "drops". Re post with %'s and I'll add it.

While I agree with you, I hate to skip over something that looks this good. So, I have researched and devised a "drops recipe salvage solution".

I use the following formula ->> 1 mL = 20 drops; 1 drop = 0.05 mL.

This seems to work for me for two reasons:
A- I have no idea what the OP's results actually taste like.
2- This conversion formula was worked out by the Greeks in 780 bc and has withstood the test of time...(OK, this part is a little BS - but it is a way to start...)

edit - To provide even more value...

Here is a simple secret I learned from this forum, somewhere.
Given that 20 drops is 1 mL, try the following on for size:

19 drops base + 1 drop flavoring = 5%
18 drops base + 2 drops = 10%
17 + 3 = 15.

YMMV...

Please confirm your double dutch is TFA. All I could find is Double Dutch Chocolate Flavoring FW (Flavor West).

You're absolutely correct... My fault going to mix up a batch with double chocolate dark and repost

Edit: I edited original recipe, very similar hint of chocolate with double chocolate at same %
