Just a note, these taste better at lower watts, (better flavor), around 7-8w.
So it's best to use a VV/VW mod IMO.
Turn it down if it tastes funky:D

This is a percentage chart for the TFA flavors. I usually use way less than these percentages, though. Not awfully helpful, but at least a starting point. You could also check out the TFA thread in the DIY Forum.

In my own experience, I've yet to have to add any sweetener to any mix. They're usually sweet on their own.
Thank you so much for this. I'll definitely go lower than advised. I made one mix with 20% total flavorings and woah...I knew something wasn't right!

The tax farm known as USA.
Mixed up a batch of this today at 6 mg/ml 50/50 PG/VG, the honey seems a bit strong to me at the moment so I'm going to put it up to steep for a month and come back to it.

ill have to agree, TFA honey is a super potent nasty unfiltered raw honey, i cant see how you would taste anything else in there with it at 5%

At:

Honey 0.6%
Bavarian Cream 4%
Ethyl Malto 10% in PG 0.5%

The Honey is gone from the flavor completely and over run by the Bavarian Cream.

Mixing the original and this one 50:50:

Honey 2.8%
Bavarian Cream 4.5%
Ethyl Malto 10% in PG 0.75%

There is a slight note of the Honey flavor in this, I am of the opinion the two flavors do not play well together.

I think some of the percentages in the charts need serious looking at and adjustment.

The original recipe is way over flavored in my opinion as well, even with 18 days of steep time under my bottles belt it is nearly unvapable(sp?).

I can see you haven't worked out percentages to flavor. Neither have many of us, but understanding helps in calculating.

There is no correlation between Percentage and quality.
Why assume a flavor must be able to be used at a High percentage to be any good? More simply cost more.
If a flavor becomes Nasty at 5%, but works perfect at 1% obviously it only needs to be used at 1%.

It seems many have developed a theory that Flavors must equal 20% of a Total mix in order to make e-liquids?
Why? This is a totally unfounded and useless theory.
Total flavor needed will depend on many factors including Flavor concentration and Personal taste preferences.

Some recipes for some people work out great at 35+%
DO NOT try this with TFA Caramel Cappuccino!!! 8-o:censored:

Many flavors are available in super concentrates - Recommended use as low as 1.5% MAX! again ,Recommended>

If a flavor taste horrible, it may be
It may be you used to little or to much
It may be that it must be used with complimenting flavors

I have a few flavors I just cannot work with. I have not determined if they are just bad or if I simply do not have the knowledge to use them properly yet. As I develop my skills further they will be revisited.

That does make me wonder though. I mixed up a bunch of TFA flavors at 20% just to see what it was like as I like strong flavors but most of them came out perfume tasting but a couple came out good. I suspect I will dump them soon if they don't settle down which I dont think they are as it has been about 2 weeks now. But I have also bought some sampler packs from a few vendors and the taste perfume taste is there as well. So i am guessing they are simply adding X% and being done with it. I had orange from a vendor and it tastes like watered-down over-carbonated Fanta or Sunkist; take your pick. Very disappointing. I also made a pineapple and get the exact same crap Fanta taste. I am going to do another test batch @ 5% and see how much of a difference there is.
A lot of recipes in this thread are flavors that I do have on hand and will be trying out.

You can always add more base to the stronger mixes to "thin out" the flavoring... Do that, wait a few days, test, then decide.

A last resort (of mine) would be to take the "bad" ones and pour them together... You just might be surprised... I was.

And finally, save them for a "freeloading friend". They make nice gifts for that "special (mooching) someone".

I got into DIY to try to replicate Blu's Cherry Crush flavor. I had tried several different cherry blends that didn't quite work out, so instead of throwing it out I dumped it into another bottle. So once I had filled this 30ml bottle with failures I thought I'd give it a try and man was I in for a surprise. Turns out it was the best tasting cherry liquid I had ever tasted. Problem is that I didn't bother with writing down what all had been dumped in there, so there was no way I could replicate it!

I just wanted to say thanks for all the recipes on this thread, and for the google drive thing. I finaliy got my work area set up, and mixed up Butterfinger swirl, and I just mixed up Jace. I just did a quick 1 hour heat and shake on the Jace, and I am trying it now, and from what I read it gets better? I am using it in a mini pro-tank now, and I am wondering how good it will be in my KFL, or one of my sophia's. The butter finger swirl is also very good, but I am trying to let that one steep, for a while before trying it again.

Thanks again

You should try the butterfinger swirl with a drop or two (but no more) of coffee. I think it taste really good.

I mixed up some peanut butter, and some caramel last night, and I am really liking it. I don't know if I want to put these flavors in my coffee, I have a limited supply at the moment.

I wonder if a stick blender would work? If not maybe a mixing paddle on a cordless or corded drill or even a "mud" mixer?

I just watched a u-tube video where the guy cut the cotton off one end of a Q-tip, then cut up 4 times to make 4 little "blades, stuck the other cotton end in his drill and stuck the "blade" end of the Q-tip in his newly-made DIY liquid and turned the drill on and mixed away!

I see paddymx is moving on...and I too want to thank you for taking the time to gather all the recipes in one place and for your effort.

question though for anyone who knows, which file do I download for those 200 recipes? there are over 14 files and I have no idea which one is the compiled list?

thanks for any help in advance and thanks again paddymx for the list
