Tough topic to search for. Too many posts about direct-to-battery hybrid-like mods. We need some new nomenclature.

Anyway...

I'm in the market for an rda/mech hybrid. The only one that I know of that really peaks my interest is the Kennedy Ruby.

Atties I enjoy: hobo v3.1, REMatty, derringer

Low V-drop is a must. Most likely looking for a copper tube, but will consider others.

Check out the rig/roughneck hybrid.

I use a 3d rda; it threads to m20x0.5
so it fits on nemesis;
technically it can fit on my poldiacs but the podiac's a topfired, so doesn't exactly work out without some moddng.

then there is the elm rda which fits on the treeoflife mod;
I dont' remember if it's m20x1 or,,,, that's gotta be it.. m20x1

then there are several wider threads meant for 26650 sized mods.

Thanks for quantifying it for me. Half the mass of a bottle of water, lighter than I thought.

Trigger pulled. Ruby, slam cap, and delrin tip enroute.

Thanks to all the other folks in this thread for your suggestions.

Mmm that's sexy. Nice black slam cap up top. Atleast with the fat dragon it looks like the slam cap.
My suggestion (I would call this set up a hybrid) SOISZ24 atty & mod - I'd say with a Legendary switch even with the added height because if you go legendary, you can go shorty switch, but if you go shorty you can't go legendary unless someone is willing to trade with you. But if you don't care about the legendary switch, the shorty comes in multiple colors, with the 24mm hybrid atty in matching colors.

Since this particular set up is a hybrid, the mod itself comes with a 510 top cap as well & all silver plated copper contacts. All of the ceracoated versions are copper as well.

Is the negative contact held in the tube with a delrin disc?

Negative contact on this mod is at the top. Not the bottom. And the whole bottom of the threading where the contact threads in has an insulation circle around it. You can see it in the first picture with the atty on its side.

No, I mean inside the tube, holding the contact that's sticking out in the second pic.

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing, for maintenance mainly i.e. if it could be taken out easily and cleaned + inside tube... Honestly, i'm kinda torn about this design/mod between sheer brilliance and un-needed over-engineering/reinventing the wheel, of a tried and true concept... Whenever i've decided I know if it's going in the cart or not ;)
