One of the most excellent benefits of vaping vs smoking...
I used to have to scrounge for the $$ to get my weekly carton.
Nothing has changed financially in the past 4.5 years besides vaping (+DIY).

I haven't needed to buy vape gear or juice for a few months so...
I plugged a few holes in my CD collection's classical section since late August.
Mostly new with Amazon Prime, like new or very good only if savings were considerable.

Part 1:
Mozart: The Piano Concertos
Beethoven, Mozart: Violin Concertos / Schneiderhan, Jochum
Emil Gilels: Recital
Tchaikovsky: Symphonies Nos. 4, 5 & 6 "Pathétique"
Schumann: Symphonies Nos. 1-4, Overture, Scherzo & Finale
Eugen Jochum: Icon- The Complete EMI Recordings
Language of the Spirit: An Introduction to Classical Music
The NPR Listener's Encyclopedia of Classical Music
The Lives of the Great Composers
Johannes Brahms: Complete Symphonies and Concertos
Brahms: Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98
Arthur Rubinstein plays Chopin
The 6 Unaccompanied Cello Suites Complete
Bach: Toccata and Fugue in D Minor
Schubert: The Symphonies

Part 2 - Ordered but still waiting on:

J. S. Bach Overtures / Suites BWV 1066-1069
Neville Marriner - The Argo Years [28 CD]
Mozart: Last 5 Symphonies
Naxos 30th Anniversary Special Edition Box Set
Haydn: The London Symphonies, Vol. 2 - Nos. 93, 94, 97, 99, 100, 101
Divertimenti / Mozart Edition 4
Mozart Serenades for Orchestra (Vol.3 - 7 CD Box Set)
Mozart: String Trios & Duos (Philips Complete Mozart Edition, Vol.13)
Mozart: The String Quartets
Nobody ever accused me of being half-assed. I'm a total asss

I started buying/selling giant lots of records for ridiculous profit early in the oughts.
I also assembled a decent collection for myself.
My favorite used record shop is near Wellesley. Pretentious yuppies buy popular classical and find they prefer Huey Lewis or whatever so she gets tons of great unused classical and sells it for a buck/disc. Going there armed with Classical 101, common sense and a fistful of yen was a cheap way to find out what I like.
I'm taking a break from binge watching Elementary so I snapped a few pix

Mostly Mozart

Been expanding my rock/metal encyclopedia lately and came across this Japanese band! They are REALLY good! (and no not for the obvious reasons!!) The lead guitar player, bass player and drummer are phenomenal! Not really a fan of JPop or or anything but I like that they are more rock/metal than most! Give em a try!

ZZ Top - Cheap Sunglasses (had to get away from the Las Vegas TV coverage for a while). I find the heinous crime that guy committed to be the act of a deranged mind. If he was out to commit suicide he could have done it privately and achieved his own demise without involving others.

My favorite CDs are ripped onto a flash drive in the console of my pickup.

Tom Petty died today at 66. If you haven't watched it the documentary is on Netflix. It's 4 hours, but well worth a watch even if you have to pause and watch it in sections. Among the story sections that start in Florida and work their way to California there's good concert footage presented in chronological order.

ETA: The local CBS affiliate just announced that Petty isn't dead, but is clinging to life in the hospital on life support. CBS national news apparently reported his death prematurely.
