It was said somewhere the 18650 is required for dna30 and above because of the amp required, anything smaller than 18650 just aren't made (yet?) to deliver the required power to drive 30w or 40w etc... So I'm pretty confident saying you will not see a 18500 dna40 device, ever... From Mark Bugs anyway.
Zna30 and elevator v2 come to mind. Honestly, I do think I can trust AW batteries in the smaller size. I've mentioned this to mark when I asked him if he could send me a 500 tube for my WAEII. I also want a 500 style wizard but Mark ain't going to do it.

That's true, but I'm positive I read that about the 18650 amp and >30w. I could see a dna25 with TC being done in a 500 size.

But what do I know. ;)

AW's new 18350 has a 12 amp rating and the 18490 has an 18 amp rating.;)

Looking at my waeII the seam at the 510 adaptor looks not quite flush:

When I take the adaptor off it looks like there is a gap between the connector and the insulator.

My question is, is this normal or should it be flush? Is it something I can adjust?

Does anyone know of a way I can restore my scratched up titanium wizard back to its original finish?
Send it to MB. I believe @sedge got his refinished (and returned pretty soon too). I'm also sending my WAE-I to make it similar to my WAE-II.

^^ Press it down further.

Duh. Yep that did it. I had tried pushing cautiously yesterday but emboldened by your suggestion I pushed harder today, and now the connector sits against the insulator and the 510 adapter screws on flush. Thanks much.
