DNA 200 "warranty service" error out of the box

Yep brand new dna mod yesterday and out of box it reads warranty service and then screen goes black.
Fire button and up/down buttons do nothing. I hooked it up to escribe and it reads the mod but the temp on the board is reading 150* just hooked to USB. The minute the cable is unplugged it goes blank screen again.

What makes matters worse is you can tell the mod was replaced in box and the actual new device they kept to replace there busted mod. Top of device you can see it has had atomizers on it and scraped the paint and same with bottom of device,paint worn from setting it down and sliding. You can not tell me a new mod comes with an atomizer ring already chipped into the top.

Anyway I have an email and phone message left for the retailer for replacement device and sent pictures but until then this bites. Excited about a new mod to find a DOA used device in box. This industry is not going in a positive direction at a time it needs to.

Oh don't worry I will be when they open this morning they are on opposite coast from me. I can not believe someone would do that though. If you want something that bad or need it fixed,dont steal it from a paying customer.

It was the VT200 I did use mobile with the above picks at least I thought it was?

If up loaded via mobile it should be visible like this pic of a samples prototype im testing of a v2 version, but im using Tapatalk app makes things easier to keep all forums in one place

Wow that isnt no new mod , its scratched to hell as you said if this was purchased new , either with a credit card or PayPal id put a complaint in and have payment halted , whilst they reply an fix this problem , pluz you say the chip is frazzled too , some cheecky has swapped it out

Yea the problem is they do not want to fix it and what I mean is,they want me to send it back at MY expense. I sent the same pics that you see here to them and it did not bother them at all,not a bit. They want me to except a dna75 mod in exchange of a dna200. I would except that for one thing,i purchased a dna200? I also got the impression from them once I do send back they are going to put it back up to sell again to someone else. I do not want anyone paying for a new mod to get this so,i have contacted evolve and they are going to diagnose the mod AND RMA the board for me(if battery is also bad I have to purchase that is no buggy). Evolv even said the retailer sold me a used mod at a new mod price. But anyway I love evolv they do stand behind there boards it is just a shame there are so many shady and untrustworthy retailers out there. But I still should have known something was up as this was still a black friday sale three weeks after black friday.

Evolv will bend over backwards to help people out who own devices that have their boards. ya DNA's cost more than a joyetch or kanger mod but try and get that kind of customer from either of those two companies. glad to hear you're getting your mod fixed, t8kiteasy. when you get your mod back, you should sign up at, if you're not already.....

Whichever retailer who sold you that should send you a new mod and refund your purchase. That is horrible.

I would love to know who the vendor was? I know its not very proper to name names, But if that was their stance on the refund and I received it in that condition I would be mad enough to expose them for the rats they are.

Edit: But evolv does know because I wanted them to know what other venders were doing with there chip even though they have no involvement with the mods I just wanted them to be aware of what is going on.

If you genuinely purchased this as a brand new mod an paid for it as so ,they advertised it as new then they have broken consumer laws not only by conning you by giving a second hand one but Also as a none functional device , ask for full refund an go elsewhere , there are place's you can contact all countries have consumer rights to protect against venders , i would go for refund only since you are Getting no where why should you purchase new an have to get it replaced or repaired , Screw that one , Id go for refund then name an shame them for this , if you can prove ypu purchased as a genuine customer a new Unit not a used discount and didnt read discription properly , either way it should be fit for purpose , which it is certainly not , Since is not working , Refund demand refund only , i wouldn't have faith in anything else from them.
Since they enjoy pissing you about an ripping you off , Demand your money back go elsewhere , if you paid a proper price , then im sure tbere are many otber places that Will welcome your business ,

I agree. A credit card chargeback could even be in order, if they don't comply fast enough. You didn't get what you ordered so that's your (the OP's) right.

Send it back recorded delivery ask demand, Get a full refund for its return name shame them once refunded , if evolve Send you an new Board later yeahhh , but id go full refund go elsewhere ,

I am going to send it back instead of sending to evolv I am going to buy from a reputable vender.
My blood pressure has come down now and I am thinking clearly. I know they will also put it back up on there site for someone else to buy..
