    I think mechs will still be favored by cloud chasers. One of the supposed benefits of temp control is that you can get the same flavor but tone down the vapor production for stealth vaping. Again, only surmising from what I've read from beta tester impressions.

    I would opt for cerakote, but I don't have a spare oven or toaster to bake - and I don't want to bake in the oven I use for food. One big negative of the dyed plastics - if you mess the color up, you will have white splotches that you can't fix.

    One of the beta testers showed a picture of a nickel coil running on a DNA40 after 2 weeks - just the barest hint of caramelization on the wick where the individual wraps touched the wick.     Nope, mine are perfectly level. The only thing that would make the atty crooked is if the vented screw doesn't thread into the delrin bit on the FD510 properly.

    If you factor in spares of some parts, I can tell you even 4-5 people getting together offline to organize something will lead to tremendous cost savings. Just make sure you pick up a couple of screws from any of these co-ops, as those would not be freely available - although I am using modded...

    There are literally hundreds of other types of switches on mouser we could throw in that might take to the crystal/Swarovski bits I see on Etsy and elsewhere with little to no modding work. I'll try to get some ideas this week on that.

    Absolutely! But I don't see why (brief) talk of regulated chips and mods should be persona non grata in this thread. I'm sure if this becomes something more than a few one-off shells, The Beemaster will open a new thread for it, else this thread would become confusing.

    In my 1.5 years of vaping, I never touched a genny. It just made no sense to have an enclosed atty that would leak in my pocket. A BF genny sounds very intriguing, so if you are gauging interest, I am a guaranteed +1 on these.
