I arrived in Philly, safe & sound. Boy! It feels like springtime here, though as I got near, the radio had forboding warnings about how cold it was going to be. And high winds are expected. But right now, it's in the mid-20s, the sun is shining, and the snow on the ground is in patches with bare...

If we're going to have sophisticated robots, I want one that'll clean the oven! Good morning, all. It's horribly cold out, but I'll be warm in the car going down to Philly most of the day. Pumping gas will probably be the worst thing on my list. I'm hoping there won't be much snow in the...

Good night, folks. Tonight's photo was taken today: icicles hanging off the roof of the library.

That's cold for down there! But not as cold as here. It's 5º now with a strong wind; tonight, the low will be -2º. Tomorrow, the high will be 7º and the low -1º. Philly should be a bit warmer.

Awsum, I'm looking forward to heading down your way for that reason. It's usually about 10 degrees warmer down there than it is up here. We're going to get severe cold, too.

Why? Are they thinking of replacing seeing eye dogs?

Maybe where you are, but here, it's the dead of winter with feet of snow on the ground. Maybe by the end of this month, we'll have a warm day with the idea that spring might come someday, but we get sprinklings of snow in April, so it'll be a while yet for us.

Lizzie, I think you're right. Quality of life is more important than length of life, IMHO.

All morning, it has snowed, then stopped and the sun came out, then another round of snow. I went to the library to donate some books, then to the barn to see Penny. Just after I arrived at the barn, it started snowing, then became rather heavy. It's still coming down and adding up fast -- big...

Rave, I envy you the bluebirds. Out in the countryside, they set up little boxes for them to nest in, but I've never seen them here in the yard. I'm glad you liked yesterday's good-night photo. For some reason, it reminded me of your artwork. The detail, I think.

Good morning, Jerry. It's snowing again here, too. We're only supposed to get 2 or 3 inches, so that's not too bad.

Good morning, 0mg. Is that your shopping list or Wuzz's?

Good morning, Wuzz. What do you plan to buy at TS? I go there for fly spray and salt blocks, but I think that's all I've ever bought there. Oh, yes, I got a farrier tool there, too. They are generally cheaper than Ithaca Agway or the local tack shop.

That is what I plan to do tomorrow. Also, I want to visit Penny one more time before I leave. And some laundry and then packing.

I spent the morning sitting in the car repair place while my car's exhaust system was fixed. I'm poorer, but the car is all ready to go. It seems I'm into grossing out you people, but here's an interesting article I read while waiting. The Excrement Experiment - The New Yorker The tutoring was...

OK, now to tell you the story of my day. I went to the dentist. The car repairs were canceled because, due to the snowstorm yesterday, the parts didn't come in. I'll go tomorrow for that. When I drove down to Ithaca, I was amazed to see that all the tree branches were covered in white...

Good point, but that doesn't mean all prescription drugs are bad and that you shouldn't take any. Just use your brain when the doctor suggests something, and do your own research.
